LOL. Could you imagine having to explain to a cop why you got into an accident? "Officer, I couldn't move my arms because I just did a huge workout."

Has anyone else ever done the leg press, tried to get up and stumbled in the gym because they taxed their legs too much? I''ve done it a couple of times and just felt silly.

Yup. Just lets you know you're doing it right:)
 
Yeah, I've done leg press and squats several times and felt light-headed afterwardss. No pump like a good leg pump. I know a guy who pushes himself so hard on leg day that he pukes almost everytime he does them.

The soreness the next day is unbearable.

Stretching immediately after has helped me quite a bit with DOMS after leg days.

Hate shoulder days! I'm always drained at the end of the workout.
 
Thats the best part. Look into BCAA's to help with recovery.

Whats your shoulder routine look like?

It's going to be a tough day no matter what. Lot's of sets.

Front raises 3x12
incline side raises 3x12
over head db presses 3x12
DB shrugs 4x12
Standing Low Cable Deltoid Raises 3x12
upright rows 3x12

what brand of bcaa's do you use?

Oh btw, If any of you use Muscle Milk in any form, stop! Stuff has high levels of 3 diffent types of heavy metals. Lead, cadmium and arsenic.

Yeah I don't use Muscle Milk, but I've heard rumors of that. Nothing really that substantiates it though.

You try military presses much? If you get in stuck on DB presses try to mix it up with standing military press. I usually do 2 presses for shoulders. Not trying to teach, just giving you different ideas. I do two weeks of a routine and then switch up the exercises.

I use a intra-workout drink for my BCAA's called Xtend by Scivation. Since starting it seems to have made a world of difference.
 
I ought to mixed up my workouts more than I do. I've made pretty decent progress though.

Thanks for the tip with the BCAA's. I know it's in my whey, but it's probably not enough, right?
 
Yeah, I don't think its enough. This 58 year old at my gym who is ripped and says he used to workout with Frank Zane back in the day recommended I sip on some BCAA's during my workout and its helped a lot.

Dude's always giving me pointers and I pick his brain. He's taught me some great stuff.

I drink a ton of water during my workouts. Diluting the bcaa drink isn't a problem?
 
Got some Musclepharm assualt. I'll start with 1/2 scoop and go from there. Thanks again for the suggestion, Mick.
 
The Assault worked pretty well. Haven't have pre-workout sups for a few weeks so it was nice to have that extra kick during my workout. The taste of the stuff ain't great, but I'll manage. I'll probably try a full scoop next workout. Doesn't create the edgy feeling you get with Jack3d, either.

Progressing well...How you doin' Ronan? What's your weight up to?

Take a whole scoop. I felt cracked out when I took Jack3d.
