No surprise, said Douglas-Roberts, who stressed his strive-to-be-the-best-in-everything mentality. Also, the 6-7 member of the NCAA runner-up team said all the tough, pressure-cooker games he went through had him fully prepared.

"I understand the game well. The NBA is all about having basketball IQ. It's not who can jump the highest or score the most off the bench," said Douglas-Roberts an 18.1 scorer for Memphis last season. "It's about basketball IQ, a feel for the game. And I consider myself having a very high basketball IQ.

"I could bring a new way of scoring. They have a lot of great players, great athletes but I feel every team needs a player with a good feel for the game and I feel that's what I add to the mix," he said, stressing the winner's mentality gained at Memphis. "Being at Memphis, I only lost 10 games in three years. That gave me the mentality I should win every game. So I went into the workout thinking just that: try to win every drill."</div>

That's pretty cool. I like his mentality. Definitely a guy I'd want on my team....to be honest, I'm not really too sure between him and Rush, as to who I'd want more.

I can't see anyone complaining about having CDR on the team. He's a first team All-American for a reason.

I prefer Rush. He's a better shooter, better athlete, and already plays NBA caliber defense. He's also more versatile. CDR is purely a two guard.

Where CDR could really help the sleepwalking Nets is his personality, which is much more intense and competitive than Rush's laid back style.

I like that both Vandeweghe and Polinsky raved about Laing and suggested he could get a summer league invite if he's not drafted. That would be nice.

Summer league team will DOMINATE, DOMINATE I TELL YOU: Julius Hodge, Sean Williams, Marcus Williams, Mo Ager, Brian Laing, plus whoever they draft. Boone isn't playing. (Of course, Marcus and Mo could be traded on draft night.) Hodge and Laing went to the same high school, St. Raymonds in the Bronx.

wow, that's a pretty sick summer league team...can't wait!!

Rooting for Alexis Ajinca. Heard he had some nice shooting from away from the basket. He just needs to bulk up.

You've got to put the ball in the basket, so I'd gamble on Ajinca before the others. The last 7-foot Frenchman to make it to these parts was Frederic Weis, so it's better to roll the dice on him at 40 - not 10 or 21.

Given the Nets needs, Ajinca seems a better risk than the others. Of course, you hope he doesn't turn out to be A[jinx]a.
