...San Fran.
[Disclaimer; this in no way means the Giants are my other team...that is all]
How dare you and Steve root for anyone other then the the Yankees on the Yankees board. I just hope Tom doesn't get wind of this.
Game 1- first 3 innings.
Shields is once again shakey.
Here's the big one - I'm opening myself up for a scolding BUT....
Bumgarner doesn't impress me all that much...I mean...He KNOWS how pitch, he certainly is a GOOD pitcher..but his stuff just doesn't impress me. Not exactly "electric". 93 fastball--okay slider/slurve. ugh
I know he's pitched alot of innings...he'll probably still pitch well enough to give the Giants a chance to win, especially if Royals' batters keep chasing fastballs up around their EYES. lol
Yeah only 3 hits over 7 innings, not very impressive.

lmao...I know I know....
I said he doesn't have "electric stuff"....kinda like a young Andy Pettitte, 93 mph fastball and a good slurve/curve/cutter.....93 mph fastball and a good slurve/curve/cutter!
Don't get me wrong,I'll take it ANY DAY on my team especially from the left side....but....I just don't see how THAT (his) stuff is translating into being so difficult to hit along with this post season scoreless streak. Nothing eye-popping about his "stuff". I don't get it. lol
He's like the Giant team during the regular season....nothing looks very impressive, nothing jumps out at you...until OCTOBER.
Hey, no big deal..the Giants, Giants' fans and Bumgarner can all have a big laugh at my expense.
Lets all laugh....ha ha ha
And he is indeed a good pitcher. I am not totally blind. lol
...yeah, he also kinda reminds me of Cliff Lee too. None of his "stuff" really jumps out at you as being overpowering. He's just able to somehow make the pitches he needs to make at the most critical times.
...yeah, Ventura has a lot of pressure on him tonight...if the Royals lose, it's pretty much over.

Waiting more than 3 days for a Series to begin is assinine, after both NLCS games are complete, hell make it 2 days.
Makes me think MLB is only in it for the money, as the quality of the game CONDITIONS, aren't the foremost priority. The W.S. are beginning to look more and more like the pre-Super Bowl Press Hype. Do they think no one will watch the games, without the hype? Give me the games, and fk the PR bullshit....not necessary...!
If, New York, Colorado, Minnesota, Detroit, BeanTown, Cleveland, Cincy, and perhaps a few other metropolis' host WS in November, were going to see our 1st "snow out" Series, one day.
Cut the season to 154 games, get rid of the 1 game wild cards, and cut down time between LCS and Series play. After all the 1st game Series Tickets don't even have a DATE on them....!!! Something's gotta give....

pretty sure the dates are set beforehand to accommodate people who want to buy a ticket with, you know, a date on it
but you think thats bad, wait until the alds/nlds round goes to 7 games, and the "play in" game, goes to best of 3, then best of 5, then best of 7 as well
WS- Game 1, my Brother In Law, and His good friend also my own buddy, both were at yesterdays Game in KC. They both informed me, no one's tickets had yesterday's date on them at all. The Tix only had 2014 World Series Game 1, with both teams names. Today's game 2 tix are also without dates. Keep in mind alot of season tix holders purchase their Post Season Tix a month in advance. Those never have the 1st two WS DATES on them. The very majority of Series tix these days don't have those dates, as many of those tix are printed too far in advance. My bro-in law had his ticket 3 weeks ago, since he's season tix holder in KC. His/My buddy got his tix at the call waiting window, and those did not have the date either. By now all other games tix do indeed have the dates on them...
Besides that's not my point. My point is one day/year were going to have a Series delve into Nov. Snow almost always falls in the 2nd-3rd week in Denver. With record low temps, and record snow falls, its only a matter of time, before MLB is going to take a hard look at the scheduling. My take shorten the season to 154 games. As well quit pandering and rolling over for the PR Monster, MLB is in bed with.
Rob as I mentioned a while back, they either need to cut the season back to 154 games or add approx 4-6 double headers per team during the course of the season.
