Who's playing the race card at the moment?

An African American group is crying foul over McCain's "that one" comment, and many news outlets are reporting on the things McCain/Palin supporters are shouting from the crowds of their speeches.

McCain's supporters aren't part of his campaign (like Ferraro was to Hilary's).

Is this African American group part of Obama's campaign?

The race card only seems to be an issue when the Clintons or Obama is behind in the polls.
I agree with you if you're saying that the Clintons are more guilty of using it than McCain. I applaud McCain for not trying to use Rev. Wright against Obama thus far.

Campbell Brown had this to say the other night...

Look, everybody, we all know that we are in uncharted territory here. Never before has there been an African-American presidential nominee. So without question, race is going to be part of the conversation. Race baiting doesn't have to be. And yet, it is happening in this campaign.

Twice this week, surrogates for Senator McCain had made a point of calling Senator Obama "Barack Hussein Obama." The implication here is clear. It's foreign sounding. It's Muslim sounding. It's un-American sounding. It's dangerous sounding.

What it is, is race baiting. And that is what is dangerous. Inciting crowds, encouraging their angry outbursts. McCain supporters shouting "treason" and "terrorist" about Obama at these rallies — that is dangerous.

Earlier in the campaign, McCain denounced this stuff. He strongly denounced it. And today, it requires a stronger response, a much stronger denunciation than a campaign-generated paper statement.

Agree with Campbell Brown, but she is a liberal, and that is what people will use to discredit all of her opinions.

That god damn bitch in the terrorist video with the annoying, high pitched, north Michigan voice needs to shove a god damn cock down her mouth. She just got made a fool on the internet, hardcore.

McCain/Palin fans are going to cry in November.

But she's known about Sarah Palin for 3 years!

That guy who said he never heard of Barack Obama at the end was hilarious. He had a homeless man style sign. I wonder if he was just rounded up and brought to the rally because it was around where he resides (he doesn't look like a homeless man though).

I think its ignorant. Plain and simple. Even for rappers to say ****** is self-disrespectful. It was a word that was used to oppress generations of African Americans to make them seem below another race. That's just not right. I understand that it is not meant in disrespect; perhaps it is even said with a sense of pride (like of roots and how far we have come)...

As for terrorist---they can come in any color...any religious background...any race and nationality. It should not be solely directed at middle eastern people to sterotype them.

Thats the whole point of this thread. People Stereo-typing that word. I'll prove it. I googled Both Words and these are the first photos. Bear in mind they are both quite racist I do not share my Feelings with these photos.

It's not letting me Post the First picture because the name has the N word in it so heres a Link

Hey CK...do you realize you are living in one of the most racist states in the US. Peoples views there are influencing your opinions.

I think the question should be which is the worst of the two to actually be?

ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. Just kidding.

I am ashamed at all the white people in the videos and how literally stupid they are. I am ashamed of them because I am white and I tend to want to be in their group.

I also greatly dislike the people I see who wear their pants below their waists and drive clapped out hydraulic equipped ex taxi cab Chevrolets with their bass so loud it shakes my neighborhood. These people are generally classified in this order.

African American
Hispanic
Young
Men

Sure there must be stupid white girls who drive those cars and speak poor English, but the percentage must be minute.

Seeing as I only fit the men category (unless you think 34 is young) I don't really feel ashamed of these people but rather I feel animosity towards them. I would say I hate them.

So, it is easy for one to think I hate them for being young African American or Hispanic males.

That really isn't it, it is just easier to lump them in the same category.

The old black lady in the video said they wouldn't vote for Obama because there are a lot of rednecks in her state. I could say she is racist because she doesn't like white people, but she means racist white people. It isn't the color of their skin that matters.

I just feel for the knuckle draggers because I too have doubts about Obama because I watch too many movies and can somehow believe he is a closet Muslim and wants to end us all. My mind says no, but my imagination says IT COULD BE TRUE!

The site to the picture link took off the photo before I could see it. Its just sad that still to this day, even though we have come a long way, there is still so much ignorance in the world.

THe best way to answer this question is by assuming you ask two people why they didn't vote for Obama. One person says "because he's a ******". The other says "because he's a terrorist".

The former is much worse to me, because the person has decided to make a decision about a candidate based solely on appearance alone. The latter, while stupid, is more acceptable, because all it shows is that somebody was able to get into their head with propaganda, and they were just naive/stupid enough to believe it.

To me, being stupid is much more acceptable than being a bigot.

If you're a bigot, it's more pc to cite him as a terrorist rather than a ******. In effect the terror label is permission to be racist.
