Would someone explain to me why Judgement Day is supposed to be this Sunday?

I'm also confused about which passage in the Bible (or Constitution) states that people are entitled have subsidized medical coverage

Which passage in the Bible says that we should subsidize military, police, and spies? As the beneficiaries, why don't rich conservatives just pay for them directly, like they did until governments invented taxation (while they excepted religious activity from taxation)?

"Give to Caesar what is Caesar's, and to God what is God's" Luke 20:25 and Mark 12:17. If the Constitution states that we're supposed to have a military and someone to enforce the laws, then I think that's a pretty good start.

Any other questions? Ok. Now answer mine, please, if you can?

If you're being eternally tormented in a lake of fire, wouldn't you get used to it eventually? Plus, burning is something that happens to a physical being. Since our bodies die and get buried in the ground or cremated, what exactly feels pain? Our soul? How does a soul burn? I was raised Christian, I go to church occasionally, but I really don't get it. It doesn't make sense. And if you burn for awhile, I would think it would kill you and THEN where do you go? Furthermore, no matter how great Heaven is, wouldn't it get boring and become Hell in it's own way since it's never ending? It's scary but I'm not sure either option sounds all that great. I didn't exist before August 25th, 1974 and that seemed to go okay. I feel like the time after my death would be the same. Simply not existing. Also, if there is some sort of soul that can be tormented or live forever, when did it come to being and where did it come from? From my father's sperm? Did I have a soul the minute I was conceived? It's all so complicated.

I read all the Left Behind books. The post apocalypse story line interests me. And while they were written by bible scholar types, and the characters do pray and Believe, etc., I would liken the story to Angels and Demons (the Tom Hanks movie).

ok well, im going to be at work on saturday, so just in case the world ends, i love you jesus, and i always will, please keep my family safe.

I'm also confused about which passage in the Bible (or Constitution) states that people are entitled have subsidized medical coverage from the best doctors in the world and that my paycheck is allowed to be taxed for abortion purposes. I guess if one is able to change worldviews based upon how it appeals to what one wants to do at that particular moment, it makes sense. I can see how it's hard to understand someone with firm principles based on a worldview revolving around a sovereign God.

I'm pretty sure there is nothing in either document about how to cool a nuclear reactor on a submarine either, is there?

Well, if it happens, are you really going to need your stuff anyway?

By all means I'd love for it to happen, but I'm not buying it. Harold Camping has been wrong before (1994) and if you believe the Bible it goes against what it says.

For example:

Matthew 24:36
“But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father."

1 Thessalonians 5:2
"for you know very well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night."

If I went on Facebook every day and pronounced that tomorrow is the rapture wouldn't that mean the rapture would never come?

I hope some of you assholes are gone tomorrow, because I am taking all your stuff when I am left behind.

If I'm gone, you're welcome to it. If I'm not, see Maris' posts on unlawful entry.

Finally went to a donkey show. Sheesh. No wonder Eeyore is so depressed.

Raised in the church til I was 18....... haven't been since. If believing in the Bible makes you and your family feel better more power to you. If it helps people become better people, keep on keepin' on. I just don't like it when I'm told that because I don't do this or believe this, me and my family will be going to hell. The Bible is just a bunch of stories right? And there must be 1000's of different religions..... some of them must be wrong, right? My mom has remarried and has gone off the deep end with the whole religion thing. She is so into it, that she never comes to her grandchildren's soccer or basketball games because of her "prayer groups". Called me once and asked when my son's next game was and I told her this Sunday..... she said,"Why on earth would they have a game on Sunday"......... I paused and said, "God must not want you to be a part of your grandchildren's life."

The bible writes, and this is supposed to be Jesus talking. That the rapture will come like a thief in the night. Basically meaning, no one will be able to predict the rapture, since Jesus will return "like a thief in the night".

LOL! I mean you don't have to believe in "The Bible" or Jesus, or any Religious thing. All I'm saying is all these so-called Christians crying the rapture is coming are making shit up. If you are a Christian, you have no idea when Christ will come. That's it.
