I don't know if Ptd does it (I do) . . . but I can't imagine Frye being a deal breaker.
I'd do Marty, Raef, Ike, future 1st for Marion, Future 2nd, filler who's contract is expiring.
If it doesn't work, we still get out of Ike and Marty's potential cap holds, 13 million for raef, and could let Marion walk and just make a huge splash in free agency, and we gain 3 roster spots.
I just think Outlaw is too valuable off of the bench as a spark.
Salmons moved up on my list of players I wouldn't mind getting. Maybe it was just his night but left me impressed. Unfortunately I can't see Sac trading him.
Agreed. Frye is a nice guy and all, but is easily replaceable if we could get a legit starting SF. There's a chance he'd sign back here if we really wanted him back, and did one of those type of 'deals'.
At the right price, I wouldn't mind Marion if he was willing to accept his role and know Oden, Aldridge and Roy are the main guys on this team. Although that's exactly what got him out of Phoenix.
On talent alone, I'd do that deal and go with this lineup:
PG Roy
SG Rudy
SF Marion
PF Aldridge
C Oden
Sick..
That is what you guys are not getting. He wants to be the #1 option!!!!!!! Not 4th!!!!! We do not need this guy!!! He will NEVER be a 4th option guy. You guys don't understand the importance of chemistry. Marion will RUIN our teams chemistry.
I don't agree with any of this, except maybe that we do not need Marion.
Marion does not need to be the first option on a team, unless his whole career has been some sort of mirage.
Further, what has our "chemistry" got us so far? "Chemistry" is a bunch of bunk, especially on a team that's never made a playoff appearance and has a bunch of youngsters on the roster.
Ed O.
I will agree with the majority of sports casters, coaches, trainers, GM's and most people in sports that chemistry is VERY important to a team. Not sure why you clowns don't agree.
^^^ I got posts on other threads you can follow too homie!
Probably because there's no evidence for it. Jordan was a "chemistry" nightmare, putting down his teammates and even getting into physical fights. His teams won six championships. Shaq and Kobe were often at each other's throats and they won three straight titles. The Oakland A's of the early-70s had a poisonous club house and won three championships in a row.
As Sandy Koufax once said: "In the end it all comes down to talent. You can talk all you want about intangibles, I just don't know what that means. Talent makes winners, not intangibles. Can nice guys win? Sure, nice guys can win - if they're nice guys with a lot of talent. Nice guys with a little talent finish fourth and nice guys with no talent finish last."
I love that quote, were you the one who had it as a sig at BBF?
Nice avatar... wow.

Not me. I think Ed O had it as his sig for a while.
