I don't want them to suspend practice......I want them only to practice all winter long until they actually have offensive plays and defensive instincts....I think trading should stay in play as well...the covid winter training camp year....team that uses their winter time best will come back in the spring and dominate the league! The Blazers have already suspended defense and winning so why not take it all the way!
This is why we have government and government should make sure those businesses (or at least the wealthy business owners) pay enough to cover that insurance.
Canada paid affected people $2k per month... We had enhanced unemployment benefits.Pandemic insurance? Never heard of it.

You didn't hear about that?
You should check it outNope.
So.. Money first…. Then safety.
got it.
Shut up. What a shitty response HCP is talking about his livelihood and ability to keep his house as he plainly states. So sick of this safety trumps people working and eating shit.So.. Money first…. Then safety.

Welcome to capitalism. We shouldn't have to think about money first. But we have to. So don't say that to someone if you can't realize people are in different lots in life.
We live in a completely fucked society.
Ya, it’s not really a “money first” thing. More of a “shelter over my family’s heads and food in their bellies and transportation “ kind of thing to be honest.Welcome to capitalism. I had a few friends lose their restaurants and businesses because of all this. I don’t believe I EVER posted anything on here about shutdowns. Why is this dude including me in his post?

Yes, excessive out of control capitalism is. Because our government is bought and paid for.Yep. And capitalism has made that harder and harder. And you yourself are in a field where only a few can even have the job.
Capitalism is killing the country.
Again! Your polls raspy don't cover everybody. I would, Absolutely, be bummed out if they canceled ,or stopped the season. The league, and everyone in America, need to be more vigilant , and less cavalier with this virus. ALL Businesses, sports or other, need to make sure they are doing things right. If everyone would get vaxed, and mask up in public places, we might slow this thing down. I went to the Blazers game here in Denver, had my vax card checked, and wore my mask all game, except to take a drink, and had no problem. I see lots of folks at games, and most aren't wearing a mask at all. Tonight in Dallas, didn't see one person in crowd with a mask when the camera panned to them. This ain't over folks. The numbers were going down until most people decided it was over.Curious how people feel. I think it's getting ridiculous, and what with the Blazers sucking I'm fine with basketball going away.
Oh shut up hypocrite. Lol!

As an European, from my experience, looks more and more like socialism takes over and believe me, that is nothing to be happy about.
You will miss capitalistic chances when your diet will be potatoes only.
You should have the freedom not to vaccinate, but you risk paying the real price for it. You are not dumping that cost on responsible vaccinated people.
At this point it's entirely about hospital capacity.
If somebody is too stupid to get a vaccine and they get sick and die, well, that's on them. I've completely lost patience for them.
If too many of these idiots flood the hospitals and grind health care for everyone to a halt, well, that's a problem for all of us. We all could potentially need health care ourselves or have loved ones who need it.
At that point we do need to do things like shut down the league. In which case the government needs to start writing massive checks so guys like HCP don't take it on the chin.
Personally, I'd be all for a Covid tax. Every fucker who decides to forego a vaccine and then clogs our hospitals with their stupidity should be taxed through the nose, losing some massive share of their life savings, property and other wealth. Transfer that cash to guys like HCP. Make the anti-vaxxers think twice about a) vaccines and b) going to hospitals for treatment once they inevitably get sick.

Interesting...you might have something there. People who participate in irresponsible health behavior should not force other other people to have to pay for it?
People that willingly smoke, drink, do drugs, overeat, don't exercise, should pay the real price for it medically. Don't dump the cost results on those making an effort to me healthy?
If people had to pay the real cost for their medical care, they might be more vested in their own health?

But… “that’s different!”
