I wouldn't make the original trade because it would be 'Cleveland' all over again...LeBron and nothing else. That said, if you can keep any 2 of Aldridge/Batum/Lillard, you do it in a heartbeat. If LeBron decides to opt out or force Miami's hand, let the pipe dreams begin. Batum/Matthews/Leonard works as well as Aldridge/Matthews. LeBron would have to be the one to kind of force the issue.

Strangley no, even if we did have the parts, by the time we built a team around him again he'd be old. And as is, we'll probably have to do that if Lamarcus leaves.

Kawhi Leonard is worth way more than LeBron, but unlike LeBron, he's untouchable.

LeBron is a dick and past his prime, I wouldn't trade any of our top 5 for him. And he'd definitely have to take a pay cut.

Trading three for one would probably only work if Lebron would accept a minimal contract. Even then, it would not be guaranteed that any other talent would follow him via free agency. I do not see being able to build anything around him via the draft or free agency otherwise.

Question for all of you. This was asked as a question on a local radio station here in Houston, and thought it might be a fun one to ask people here.

If it was offered, Would you trade Lillard, Aldridge and Batum for James?

The problem is if a team "trades" for Lebron it highly likely guts their team and then why would Lebron want to go there? The only way he and any team likely gets him if Lebron opts out and he can then sign as a UFA and that team gives up nothing. If HOU could give away Lin and Asik for capspace they could have a shot at Lebron, I think CLE and Chi are also possible destinations as Chi could amnesty Boozer.
