so you have zip to base your rant on. Thanks for admitting it.
No, I'm mad that since Aldridge left and his quickie patch job, his only meaningful trade has been when economics forced him to trade a starting center for a substitute one, an easy trade. A normal GM is self-motivated to make trades, including starters. This guy sits on his ass all year, self-contented, scouting colleges but not working the phones seeking trades.
What kind of logic decrees that since you don't hear of anything there's nothing going on behind the scene? It's some sort of logic I've never heard of. Of course, computer science, philosophy and electrical and computer engineering all have logic classes but nothing like that.Results. No news is bad news.
Miami's situation is bad, but they're not really at $144M. That includes Bosh's medical retirement which doesn't actually count against the cap/tax at this point.and that will never happen as they need cap relief as next year they will be at 144mil. For those bitching about Olshey need to take a look at Miami's situation with Pat Riley in control.

They'll be near $120M with 11 guys under contract.
Trailblazers will be about $115M with 11 guys under contract.
They're in almost the exact same spot as we are.
oxymoron thread!A normal GM

Is he wrong though...? All of his trades the past couple years have been financially motivated, other than Collins (which was cheaper than 15 and 20 anyway), who Olshey scouted and liked. This is a ridiculous take.

Nobody knows if he's right or wrong, since none of us are there.Yes he’s wrong on not being “self motivated”, “sits on ass all year” “content” and “not working phones”. Unless he’s there and we don’t know it.

Yet, you don't.I do know though.
Yet, you don't.
I'll take your word for it.I’m telling you. He’s wrong.
Meyers in Miami! Yes!
The league is going away from the slow, big centers that can't make plays away from the basket. Nurk and Whiteside are dudes that are getting left behind in the era of Capella, Green and Davis.
That being said, Whiteside is a dude I'd trade for if they would take back a Meyers & Harkless package. That's wishful thinking though.
