Would you trade Oden for CP3?

I selected no. The only player I'd trade Oden for is James.

I think Oden will be a excellent center and will get us more championships than not having him and having Paul. By time this team is ready to win a championship I have confidence we'll have the PG we need without giving up Oden.

The thing I took from the AS game is that I think that Chris Paul is the best in the NBA, or at least is 1b with LeBron.

And of course you do this... kinda silly.

I wouldn't use the All-Star game to come to any decisions, it is a facetious game.

Well, I had Paul anywhere from 2-4 (probably 2, but maybe 2b), but that guy is simply special. I think he had the best game out of anyone last night and should have won the MVP, but scoring is by far the most important category for games like that... I think watching him play just confirmed my opinion that he is not only a great player, but right up there with the absolute best in the league.

If I had never watched an NBA game before last night though, i'd say he was the best in the game. 14 points and 14 assists is much more impressive than 27 points on 23 shots in my opinion. Shaq was also super impressive, but their [the East's] lack of big guys helped him a lot.

Taking into account last year and this year, I think Paul has been the 2nd best overall player, or at least 2b to Kobe with LeBron at 1.

But yeah, after last night I just moved him from #2 to 1b. :) I could watch that guy play for days and never get sick of it.

I voted yes.

I love Oden, and I think he will be good in the future. But the league is a guard dominated league now, and CP3 has the potential to be one of the 3 best point guards of all time. His presence would make every single player on the team better.

I can't see any way you don't make that trade. Paul + Roy + LA + Joel + Rudy = Title.

Well around the third quarter the game really looked over, the effort didn't seem to be there anymore. Paul could have won the MVP but I've just never really respected the All-Star game as any type of important barometer; I'm sure he could care less too. Also, LeBron missed a wide open dunk terribly on his second to last shot, I can't remember the last time that occurred with him in a real game. Lol that surprised me incredibly out of any other moment :p. His peers were polite though and gave him an open lane purposely to make up for it as time expired.

I would certainly trade Martell Webster and Jarrett Jack for Chris Paul. Ah, the John Nash days...

In effect, this would be trading away Oden. For all the people who are dithering over whether we were wrong to take Oden over Durant, I'm of the opinion that even if Oden's career ended tomorrow, not taking Paul was a bigger fuckup by the Portland front office.

I'm pretty sure we could've had a shot at Roy the next year, so we could have had a backcourt of Paul and Roy. We very likely could've had Jefferson and Paul if Nash hadn't've been in charge. But that's an old scab, not worth picking.
