This has nothing to do with politics. Plenty of us are progressives here but saw the irrelevanceof some of those articles

Sweet. Again I don't care that much I just finally snapped after like the 300th pro-riots comment by various Virtue Signalling shortsighted useful idiots. Someone needed to say something because that was just straight-up wrong especially from my own personal life experience around it. Not to mention it's freaking illegal. Anyways, rant /off but that's why I got banned. So insanely stupid.

It's Performative Allyship

it’s not really about helping when it’s purely performative and not actual volunteering and donations as I and others have done. Instead, it’s egoic, self-centered signaling of superiority. It’s a pox upon the body politic and the country.

People who actually do the work (not just show up for party riots) when it’s not exciting are completely different. Those who pull out their digital soapbox to declare how wounding this is for them, and how terrible people are for not agreeing with their superior position are completely different from people who do the work. There are also people in this specific instance who have been victimized and that too is different. Again a ton of survivors in my personal sphere and I worked with DV survivors for years as a social worker.

I’m just saying as a Social Worker for almost 20 years, nothing annoys me more than Performative Virtue Signalers who never do the work, never stay to continue the work when the excitement ends, but force their way to the microphones, and Bullhorns are just the worst sorts of people.

This is what gets me. Scores of children are abused in foster care every year. Thousands of individuals are sex trafficked across the country forced into unthinkable acts. The plights go on. Where are all these people up in arms? Nowhere but virtue signalling behind a keyboard.

Yep. People say "Trust the Science!" and "Do the Moral thing!" when what they really mean is "Trust the television!" and "Do what the corporate political structure I agree with says is right to do!".

Yeah it was a long time ago. As I've aged I've come to find Freedom and Liberty to be the most important aspects of life. This place already is demonstrably freer and liberty-oriented. I like that.

it's super popular in australia too. just call them cunnies to avoid the special class protections awarded to women from some sectors of society. speaking on topic, I was also permabanned from twitter and reddit for the usage of the r-slur. Youtube routinely deletes my comments. Dystopian hysterics have all the power these days.

its popular in my homeland too, nothing wrong with it

obviously, its not the "c word", its in my first language, but the same meaning

you rarely say that to women, if you want to insult them, you usually use other terms

Yeah, but I don't think he does a ton of moderating. It's mostly Timmay that's super into censorship. He has always claimed it's about posts that violate rules, but millions of times posts that go with the editorial slant of that site are allowed to stay up or even headlined. Same with comments. It's just ridiculous.

I should add I think they have newer mods the past few years who are just awful. T-Darkstar was always good and fair.

I lived there for 10 years, went to college there. I think the heat is overstated..and it’s sunny EVERY FUCKING DAY. Hope you love it! Way better location for business, as well.
