He ponied up the $25,000 fee to participate in this exclusive academy, rented an apartment for $4,000 a month for three months, and voilà, he had a summer internship.</p>

With three sessions a day that involved shooting, weight lifting, and scrimmaging with the likes of Kevin Garnett, Al Harrington, Baron Davis and Chauncey Billups, Wright put in the time -- and money -- to help ensure he would be a more vital two-way member in Lawrence Frank's rotation when the regular season started.</p>
