WTF is going on with Harkless

If Harkless could just shoot around 38% consistently from 3 (41.5% last year) then he is a solid starter that we don't have to worry about at all. If he can shoot over 40% again that would be great. If he reverts back to the 35% range we will probably have trouble making the playoffs since he's our best perimeter defender and needs to be out there.

I don't think that is asking too much. Just shoot 38% from deep, play good defense, crash the boards, and take advantage of smaller defenders in the post.

Our Shooting should be much better with Curry (Hopefully healthy), Trent if he get's a opportunity, Stauskas and Yeah Maybe Simons too, i also expect better 3 point Shooting from Zach Next Season. A lot of these guys will Benefit from Baldwin's Assists (if he get's his Contract guaranteed hopefully. So 38% from Moe would be okay, but 40% or more would be HUGE :D

I wouldn't even use % on a barometer for Harkless.
As he's not generally the man setting a pick and being left wide open because the defense doesn't respect his shooting ability.
This man is Aminu.
I'd say it's more important for Harkless & Aminu not let one game where they go 0-3/4/5 carry over to the next where they put up similar numbers.
Players will go through slumps, but last year was excessive from these two imo. Especially Harkless.

consistency, and i think its mental. besides our alpha and beta(dame and cj), most of last years squad seemed very weak in comparison. leonard ,harkless, even nurk, et al, tease us regularly but can't seem to put it together night in and night out on the offensive side of the ball. confidence or whatever you want to call it seems weak to me.

Things Meyers may break out in
1. Herpes
2. Pimples
3. The sweats
4. Measles/mumps/chickenpox
5. Some dope dance moves
6. Rash
7. Some sweet ass shoes cause Neil payed him 40 mm

Things Meyers will not break out in
1. Basketball

Should "hives" be added to the list, or does that fit with "rash".

A player who has been in the league this long and given ample opportunity to succeed doesn't suddenly gain consistency unfortunately. There is 0 precedence for this. I also don't think his 3pt% is sustainable, relegating him to < 15 mpg for much of the season. Then he'll play well for 15 games and we all jump back on his bandwagon again. Been fooled enough times into thinking he can become our starting SF for good. Waste of a talent.

Big men have always progressed more slowly, but time is running out for Harkless and Leonard to show big improvements. I think Harkless has earned his contract, I just believe he could do much more if motivated. Leonard just seems to be stuck in neutral -- for the last few seasons. I can't help but wonder what Leonard thinks when Collins walks away with his lunch money.

i certainly have my doubts also.

He will have his break out year this season. Before his leg injury he was on top of his game. Like to him step up as the SF that the team "needs ".

What other player has broken out in year 7?

Such silliness.

Hark is still the same player the Blazers got for free because the team that drafted him was desperate to get him out of their locker-room. Like Batum, he just doesn't have the mentality/personality to consistently play up to his potential.
