Tex can only blame his own lackadaisical un-focused self.....

at least its good to see out of approximately 9,000 persons who took the poll, show 89% say Yep, Tex's best days are far behind him.

Good article.
Three things come to mind after reading it.
Two of which have been obvious since this season.

1) Tex indeed, just might have lost his mental toughness, competitive edge and hunger.

2) Yankees better be prepared with a good back-up plan for 1B which includes platooning Tex and/or moving him DOWN in the batting order.

3) Call me lazy or crazy but, why does/would a player such as Tex, who has already made millions and will make 45 million in the next two years want to be pre-occupied and involved with a string of juice-bars, while he's STILL an active player?...lol...scratching my head.
The only "good" reason I could see is -- he wants to provide jobs and opportunities to people?
Oh well, why not.

...the 3 basic human emotions are;

1. greed

2. fear

3. and greed

TeX has joined A-Rod on the list of those the Yankees need to release...

Maybe Tex is going to buy a fleet of Ice Cream Trucks, to ensure his retirement is a smooth transition....:icecream::icecream:

I can just see Him, with his ice cream/juice bar trucks outside of Carnies, and Yanx stadium too....."juice bars, get your juice bars, with Decca or Without......

Some kids will think Decca is a artificial sweetner, Tex too....:lol:

Maybe someone can accidentally on purpose slam Teixeira's hand in a car door.

Perhaps a new hitting coach will be better able to reach Teixeira regarding his approach than the departed Kevin Long did. But the fact is, the change must come from Teixeira himself.

ROTFLMAO!!!!!!!!!

Tex or A-Rod?

Alex

someone needs to get inside Tex's head, see if there is anything salvageable.

Reminds me of Steve Sax in LA. He couldn't make a consistent throw to 1st, while playing 2nd, to save his ass. He went on breaking his own error records, for approx 2 yrs. The Bums sent Sax to a Sports Shrink in LA, No Kidding. All of the sudden, yet gradually, Sax caught on, then errors (I've never seen anything like it); began to slow way down. Maybe a Sports Shrink could help Tex with the bat, like they did Sax with the glove???

Tom seriously what's with this new (I'll disagree with anything anyone says) approach to posting of yours lately?

I'm pretty selective with what I disagree with. And usually we all agree. I just take issue with some of the analysis of business philosophies. That's all, nothing Machiavellian.

...how was it "ironic"...and why was it "funny"?

Well after all the back and forth about hitting coaches, to see a very similar statement in a blog post....it could have been lifted from our thread.

...HBO special?...reality show?

I think a 'reality' series that cuts like the Seinfeld show would have a shot. We see what we type...we don't see what we erase, or the other dialog that takes place. I'm sure wives and spouses get an earful too. I'm surprised no one has done this for Call of Duty teams that can consist of random people from all walks of life.

I for one would like to see Rick struggle to use emoticons or Rob concoct one of his mosaic posts. Lol!

...maybe rick and matts can do a spoof of the "shrinkage" episode...I'll play the part of the always benevolent nice guy who gets along with everyone, because, well it just fits me to a tee...of course, I'd have to pass the audition first.

We need to have a broad in the show. And although there's one or two posters here who behave like little girls sometimes we'll need a solid applicant. Ron I put you in charge of auditions. Its a shame Bos is not around she'd be perfect. I mean so far what do we have?

Rick = Sienfeld
Tom = Kramer
Ron = George
Rob = Newman
Pasta = Mr. Costanza

Hell even if we did a remake of Cheers we still need a few broads...........

Sam = Rick
Woody = Blg
Norm = Ron
Cliff = Rob
Frazier = Tom

...if I'm in charge of the auditions, no way you're getting all good roles playing the guy the show is named after and the ex-jock who gets all the chicks.

...I could deal with me playing Norm...and I'll play the role of George Costanza, but I draw the line at pasta being my Dad. He can portray Elaine Benes

LMFAO, Ron you're a pasta, I mean pisser.

I'll take Kramer and Frazier.

Shot coffee out my nose with Rob as Cliff. Well played sir!
