I see a couple of teams made some enhancements to their clubs today while Cashman was probably twiddling his thumbs and thinking about the winter trade meetings.

Also, has anyone else noticed the alarming rates of K's looking with runners in scoring position, not just this game but think back. Bird can't strike out looking in that situation and count.

Well at least the Jays lost.....Damn I need a drink. lol

Terrible AB for Bird. He needed to be doing what Didi did. Look for something to drive into the air and tie the game.

How can a rookie pitcher who is as wild as Ryne Duran get the calls he got. No excuse for all the miss opportunities. Didi continues to improve. Tough loss.

"Toughest" loss of the year to this point.
Probably the only way they could've lost this game - leaving the bases loaded a few times and scoring only one or two runs in the process. Ugh.....this one stings.

Learning experience for Bird hopefully because that AB was terrible against a struggling pitcher.

Regardless of your feeling with Girardi, he is playing 2 roster spots short if you count Ryan. With Tex in NY, It would have been nice to have a veteran to PH. I am so fed up with the organizations arrogance and bad decisions.

The bench has been hideous all year. You cannot have Drew and Ryan on the same roster. It's absurd.

I've supported Girardi since game 1 in '08, still consider him the best man for the job. In the case of Cashman I dislike the fact that he is GM and more so that the Steinbrenner tadpoles keep him employed.

Just another reason why I think the SAVE is one of the dumbest stats in baseball, A hit, 3 walks & a run & this bum is awarded a save. Give me a f'king break.

Still can't believe they somehow let him off the hook.

Couple comments from watching the game...(1) fire the 3rd base coach, he's an idiot, (2) didi was 4 for 4 coming up in the 9th without a run scored, wtf?, and (3) when will a Yankee pitcher have the balls to buck mgmt and dust shrek?

Judge is also racking up alot of Ks at AAA along with a .224 BA.
However, Pirela was batting .330 with an OPS of .834 in 227 ABs and Cashman not giving him a good long look at 2b is one of MY biggest complaints about Cashman.
Pirela is a free swinger and needs alot of ABs to get into a rythym and show what he can do. He can't - imo - be a bench player with few ABs.

At last count, the fat bastard has been plunked a grand total of THREE times by Yankee pitchers in his career.
A clear indication that Yankee pitching/philosophy does not include enough pitches INSIDE to this guy.
By the numbers, even if they did NOT want to intentionally hit him, by throwing a good balanced amount of pitches on the inner half and/or further inside would've resulted in more HBP.
Plain and simply, this guy has no fear, concern or respect for pitches bearing in on him.
In the "old days", it was called getting into his kitchen.
Instead, he constants takes Yankee pitchers to the woodshed.

Nova put one right on the tee for him tonight - a nice juicy hanger on the outer part of homeplate - AT FENWAY!
