Tonight's game can be seen on PIX11...........

LHP - C.C. Sabathis, (1-5 5.20 ERA)

VS.

LHP - Danny Duffy, (2-2 5.67 ERA)

With the Yankees putrid offense of late (6 runs in there last 4 games) C.C. is going to have to pitch his fat ass off to get a win.

Hope CC had the wet ribs for lunch and didn't wash his hands, needs some assistance on his pitches.

Tonight's lineup.......

CF - Ellsbury
LF - Young
DH - Rodriquez
1B - Teixeira
RF - Beltran
3B - Headley
2B - Pirela
SS - Drew
C - Murphy

Lets hope this team remembers how to hit tonight. GO YANKEES!

First inning runner on 3rd with less than 2 outs & again no offense.

A lead for CC. About time for a crooked number....

And 3 straight singles & the Royals have the bases loaded with nobody out.

Yankees got lucky giving up only one run there.

Through 3 innings the Yankees have had 4 walks + 2 errors = 6 base runners but only one run because they've also had no hits yet. What the hell happened to this offense?

A 3 run blast by Headley & we're up 4-1 going to the bottom of the 5th. Seems like our first clutch hit in a week.

Jacob deGrom is 3-3 tonight with an RBI. Better than what Yankee hitters are doing right now.

CC must have stepped up at Checkers fueling for this game, damn, two in a row. I owe the man an apology.

I've got to give credit where its due, the fat man came up big tonight. Maybe theirs something left in the tank after all.

I'm completely surprised & will admit I was wrong in saying he'd never pitch a meaningful game again...

When you look at CC on fangraphs, you see a couple things jump out. His release point has tightened up and the velocity differential between the fastballs and curve, slider, change has gained about 2mph.

Historically he'd heat up with the weather, so I hope he can stay healthy.

Between CC finding his groove & Tanaka expected back in the next couple of weeks & Pineda having a good season that makes for a pretty good triple threat.

Tanaka needs to find his groove as well. However, Nova is the wildcard....as long as divisional parity sustains and he comes back on schedule, we could have a 4. But a lot of things need to happen before creating threads about our playoff rotation, lol!
