Rangers acquire Andrew Cashner on a 1 year 10 Mill. Contract as per John Heyman.

Yankees released Dustin Ackley, DFA'd Nathan Eovaldi, Joe Mantiply and RHP Nick Rumbelow and Out Righted RHP Branden Pinder as per Sweeny Murti.

only 4 more yrs of torture, I look for Trout to be traded rather than hit Free Agency, (my guess, due to the Halo's not looking interested in winning anything for yrs to come; incl all minor lg levels).
A big long term payday would imo, bring the home boy Yanx Fan back to play for hometown crowds. That, would be enough to launch Mile to another (unbelievable level, if his arm doesn't fall off first in the Anaheim dungeon).
I could see the Yanx (by 2020?); locking Trout up for ten years at 400 Million; by then 400 Mil will be equivalent with today's 30Mil contracts.
I don't expect Trout having to test FAgency, I think he will follow Harper close, & a yr later or 2; maybe see the Halo's trade Trout to NY, to get prospects back in return, since they too need to rebuild, ground up.

Trout- 017 at 20 Mil, (what a steal), 3 of those 4 yrs at 34 Million $$, and at 29/30 yrs young will be the FA; in 2021.

I imagine Harper will ask for more since he's first up at 2019 as a FA. With Bor-Ass his agent, I bet he's asking for 45 mil, ten years worth. One year younger than Trout, available 2 yrs earlier, 2019. FA.

...what Trout has done so far is truly incredible...he is the only player other than Babe Ruth to lead his league is WAR 5 years in a row...he's also the only player to finish 1st or second in the MVP voting in his first 2 seasons, and Trout has done it in his first FIVE seasons.

...He's the best player in the game, period...get on the phone, Cashman.

I've been asleep at the wheel too much as of late, and have missed out on alot of trade talk, and/or haven't read much of 'trade rumors'; or trade banter prior to the Winter trade meetings approaching.

I'd jump on Trout right now, (if I were Cashman); with a vengeance like no other player today; as well....^^^^

Imo this move alone could shorten the transition yrs of rebuilding, or expedite it.

Trout in CF, reminds me a helluva lot of a young Micky Mantle, less the out of this world 500+ feet long ball blasts; like his WAR you mentioned, phenomenal. Sad Trout's playing on this pathetic Halos teams. Trout's stocky built much like the "commerce comet"; with that boy next door blond haired look, grin. Guess Stanton can be crowned the long ball blaster, Trout the all around MVP type.

Miggy stole Trout's spotlight, much like Bonds stole Pujols spotlight yrs ago, in MVP balloting.

If Cashman lets Trout go anywhere but home to Jersey,with a drive across the Hudson to the Bronx for work, then Cashman has to go, imo-......fk it lets fit him for some concrete boots if he fails us...!!!
 
speaking of Mantle, I saw a graphic yesterday that showed Trout's and Mantle's numbers after their first 5 years ...they were almost identical.

Speaking of Cheetos, I saw some Cheetos Holiday Gifts. They Have Cheetos Cologne and a Crunchy Cheetos Sleeping Bag that comes with a Cheetos Cap. Now I know what I am getting all you guys for Christmas. :rotfl:

Only problem with this new lab re-creation from cheetah to cougar is: She still shits on the floor/sidewalks in public, but she should get over it, once 59's done with her training. great question, let me think on it, and I will get back to this..... (seriously), > great moves require great thought, some luck, and/ or great minds, of which I don't claim. I have long doubted Cashman's abilities. I don't believe his mind is register-able.

I wouldn't lead with that offer, but if that's where the negotiation ended up could live with it. Question, do you extend his contract and make his highest paid in MLB? You also need to move Ells or Gardner, why aren't they in that package?

...because Ells and Gardner are still owed $130 Mil...and the Angels are not looking to take on someone's overpaid refuse, they're looking to rebuild with youth.

...Gardner or Ellsbury (probably Gardner) will end up elsewhere. And Gardner has drawn interest from multiple teams...so has Headley.

Yes, of course He will be the first 400 Million dollar man, which means, Trout will have to see a (hopefully not as dreadful as other) - 10 yr contract(s)....

I know I am very late to the party but I read a rumor regarding Napoli and the Yankees. I would rather have him than Beltran.
