RHP - Adam Warren, (3-4 3.75 ERA)

VS.

RHP - Garrett Richards, (5-3 3.26 ERA)

Lineups to follow....

NOTE: Despite giving up only 8 earned runs in his last 4 starts (26 2/3rds innings) and seeing his ERA go from 4.50 to 3.75 Warren has only one win to show for it (1-3) This is due to a lack of offense on the Yankees part having scored only 4 total runs in those 3 loses. Lets hope for better things today.

See NOTE: now if they can only score some runs for Warren.

Warren has been a pleasant surprise, looking at ESPN Home page to see if I can find an article that Rogers was DFA.

It should have happened weeks ago but DEFINITELY now. Its a no brainer.

Yep, would like to see Warren get rewarded with "Ws" for his good pitching ✴but the most important thing is for him continuing to pitch well and establishing himself as a solid SP.

✴This/he has a chance to be a significant factor in the Yanks' overall chances.
If he continues to pitch well, the Yanks and he will eventually reap the benefits.

Tonight's lineup..............

CF - Gardner
3B - Headley
DH - Rodriquez
1B - Teixeira
C - McCann
RF - Beltran
SS - Gregorius
2B - Drew
LF - Flores

Flores is intriguing. I know he's a spare part and isn't thought of as being anything special with the bat but he has a nice swing and is a good outfielder.

Maybe included in a future deal or something.....but I wouldn't be anxious to trade him unless it was the right deal.

And I must admit, I am kinda expecting Gregorious to begin to hit a bit more.

That horse race has everyone pumped up.

Big first inning 4-0 Yankees so far. McCann two run homer.

...OK Warren, no excuses...you got a 4 run first inning lead, now go out there and hold it.

6-0 as Richards only lasts 2/3 of an inning.

...kicking the shit out of the Angels...I'm loving it .

Can't beat knocking out a good starter early. Keep the offense going.

American Pharoah starts with Joe Torre calling riders up followed by Sinatra's New York New York.....recipe for Triple Crown!

Drinking Belmont Jewels...and feeling good!

...nice to finally see another TC winner...no Secretariat, but a hell of an accomplishment nonetheless.

6th fastest Belmont (1.5 miles) of all time and second fastest for a Triple Crown winner behind Big Red.

Pharoah met a late challenge and pulled away.
Great performance.

...well, is it the 2nd fastest or the 6th fastest...we ARE talking about actual times and not run differential, right?

Did Harold Reynolds just say Trout "would make this place look like a joke"?
After his HR to RF.

Flores made a catch on a fly ball to LF the previous inning which would've been a HR in Camden Yards and at least a double at Fenway.

Getting tired (been tired) of hearing the same old crap about YS RF "porch" - the other teams are playing on the same field.
And good hitting Yankee teams get their share of HRs also on the road.

Ok, let's end this game. These clowns in the booth have talked enough nonsense.

The person who decided to put Reynolds and Verducci in the booth needs his head examined.
