Sanchez goes down swinging on three straight pitches.
He goes around on strike 3 which was a foot or two up out of the strike zone and in his eyes. It should have been ball one.

Second Pitch was a Jim Dandy right down the heart of the plate, but she looks at it and doesn't make an offering...

Send him down to minor leagues. This team is already proven they do not need him to win...

Of course Luke Voit is no Derek Jeter. If I am not mistaken Jeter got on base 36 consecutive games in one season. I may be wrong check me on that.

I have a major problem with counting previous seasons for consecutive streaks on anything.
But kudos to Voit- keep up the good work...

Here is when all the injured Yanks are due back
www.mlb.com
The early portion of the 2019 regular season has brought a rash of injuries for the New York Yankees, including a number of big-name players expected to provide production for a club with postseason aspirations.

Here's a rundown of Yankees on the injured list, in alphabetical order by last name, as well as estimated time frames for their returns.

Miguel Andújar, 3B
Expected return: May (or Spring Training 2020)
Andujar is attempting to avoid season-ending surgery on his partially torn right labrum, which he injured while diving into third base on March 31 against the Orioles. Andujar feels no discomfort when swinging a bat and has done so at 90 percent of his usual effort. Andujar made throws across the infield Friday, and manager Aaron Boone said he was "really encouraged" to see Andujar's arm strength intact. Andujar is continuing his rehab in Tampa, Fla., where he has faced live pitching. He could play third base in an extended spring game this weekend. (Updated: April 24)

Dellin Betances, RHP
Expected return: June
Betances did not show his usual velocity during Spring Training, prompting the club to place him on the injured list after discovering a right shoulder impingement. Having received a cortisone injection on April 13, Betances expects to be cleared to resume throwing on May 4. General manager Brian Cashman has said he expects Betances to return three weeks after that. (Updated: April 22)

Greg Bird, 1B
Expected return: May or June
Having fallen behind Luke Voit on the depth chart at first base, Bird has struggled so far in 2019, hitting .171/.293/.257, with his lone solo home run accounting for his RBI total to date. Add in a tear in the plantar fascia of his left foot, and it's shaping up to be another disappointing campaign for the 26-year-old, who will wear a protective boot for a week to 10 days before being re-evaluated. (Updated: April 17)

Jacoby Ellsbury, OF
Expected return: TBD
Ellsbury has not played in a Major League game since October 2017 due to a series of injuries, the most prominent of which was arthroscopic surgery to repair his left hip labrum last August. He reported to Spring Training on March 17, but has been limited to running on the field and "doing some stuff with tee and toss," according to Boone. (Updated: April 12)

Didi Gregorius, SS
Expected return: June, July or August
Gregorius tore his right ulnar collateral ligament in Game 2 of the American League Division Series against the Red Sox at Fenway Park, then played in the next two games before undergoing Tommy John surgery. Gregorius is currently in Tampa, Fla., where he has taken on-field batting practice and made throws from shortstop. Boone said that Gregorius "continues to progress how we'd hope." (Updated: April 24)

Ben Heller, RHP
Expected return:
June
Heller had Tommy John surgery on his pitching elbow last April and has been steadily recovering. The hurler is throwing off bullpen mounds as he aims to become a depth option in New York, where he has compiled a 3.00 ERA over 19 appearances in 2016 and '17. (Updated: April 12)

Aaron Hicks, CF
Expected return: May
Hicks initially complained of back discomfort on March 1. Two cortisone injections later, he was diagnosed with "chronic back pain," which limited him to the treadmill and core strengthening exercises. Boone said on Wednesday that Hicks has been performing outfield drills, throwing to bases, hitting on the field and running. Facing live pitching will be his next checkpoint. (Updated: April 24)

Aaron Judge, RF
Expected return: TBD
Judge strained his left oblique on a swing against the Royals on April 20, and Boone said the next day, after Judge underwent testing, that the strain was "pretty significant." There is no timetable for Judge's return, though Cashman said it will be more than two weeks. Generally speaking, even a minor oblique strain takes three weeks; Judge had one in September 2016 that ended his first big league season. (Updated: April 24)

Jordan Montgomery, LHP
Expected return: July
"Gumby" underwent Tommy John surgery on his pitching elbow last June and has been working toward potentially rejoining the Yankees' big league rotation after the All-Star break. He had returned to the mound by the end of Spring Training and continues to build strength and velocity in Tampa. (Updated: April 12)

Luis Severino, RHP
Expected return:
July
Initially sidelined with right rotator cuff inflammation in early March, Severino long-tossed for weeks but never felt comfortable enough to progress to a mound. An April 9 MRI revealed a Grade 2 strain of the latissimus muscle on the right side of his body. Severino is not expected to throw again until at least May 21, and Cashman said he would not expect the hurler to return until at least July. (Updated: April 22)

Giancarlo Stanton, OF
Expected return: May
Stanton sustained a Grade 1 strain of his left biceps swinging the bat on March 31 against the Orioles. Boone said on Wednesday that the biceps strain has completely healed, though Stanton is now recovering from a cortisone injection in his left shoulder that was administered on Monday to address a pre-existing injury. Stanton is expected to resume swinging a bat during the Yankees' series in Arizona.(Updated: April 24)

Troy Tulowitzki, SS
Expected return: May
Tulowitzki had not appeared in a big league game since July 2017. He played in five to open this season before landing on the injured list again, sustaining a left calf strain on April 3 against the Tigers. Tulowitzki has faced live pitching at the Yankees' complex in Tampa, Fla., while taking grounders and running on the field. Boone said that Tulowitzki is "getting close to potentially being able to play in some (rehab) games." (Updated: April 24)

Is Ford built Ram tough??

Wait a minute that's Dodge.

Ford stares at a breaking ball down the heart of the plate for strike 3. At this point he looks more like a little old Toyota pickup truck from the 70s ...

Through two innings Bedrosian and Pena are looking like Nolan Ryan and Frank Tanana due to these Yankee hitters not swinging at strikes, but staring at them with no offering, but swinging at balls WTF ...

Lil' are ya'll getting this game on the Yes Channel? Or are you getting this on Fox Sports West fsw?

Gubicza is almost as bad as Rex Hudler.
Why do announcers always say- "He'd like to have that ball back"?? So they can swing and miss again; or so they could just stare at it Go by again. Don't tell me that I'd like to have that ball back-
if they wanted it back that bad they would have done their job the first damn time. Talkin about the curveball CC threw; that locked up Lucroy ...

During Chris Davis's 0 for 1,000 hitless slump, Davis tagged 3 balls at 105 mph at a 28 degree angle, all for long fly outs...

Prior to that fat gopher pitch to Calhoun, CC looked like a deer in headlights. And the Yankee manager is
bouncing a baseball on cement in the dugout!

People, this game for all purposes is ovah! This lineup is still looking for its first base hit.

Bumblefuck plays by LaMahieu & Ox Sanchez really put a dent in the 4th. Biggie getting hit hard so if Boner has to make tactical moves the Yankees are in trouble!

CC gives up 3 Bombs and 5 points.

I was on Twitter earlier getting blasted by Sanchez homer assholes.

2 strike outs, one at eye level the 2nd down in the dirt.
I mentioned is need to eliminate pass balls and throwing errors while hitting his weight. Jesus I've never seen so many idiots on social media.

One bad thing about social media, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and others, is it gives everyone a voice. Everyone has an opinion even if it's an uneducated opinion. Then when you speak reason you get totally effing blasted by blind homers.

There was a time when I was a kid I would support and root for our Yankees regardless of how pathetic and pitiful they were. Worst team in baseball I still wear my colors. I always will even if they don't win another game this year. But one has to tell it like it is straight up no bulshit.

That's the beauty of this board. Honest reasonable insights with several hundred years worth of baseball history from all of you and I thank you all for that...!!!

Holy smokes I went across the street for a burger and come back and the scores tied.

Just in time to sea trout make a Willie Mays-esque catch

What a night for Sanchez, 4 K, and a critical error. From what I'm seeing of these dollar store Yankees I hope some of the alleged cream of the crop don't get back. We've witnessed some good plays by those who finally got a chance.

Shocked, surprised, glad to see Yankees overcame a 5 run deficit to beat the Angels 6-5.
As soon as Calhoun hit that 3 run HR, I went to bed.....I was resolved that this game was a Loss.

Congrats on this victory.
