...yeah, after last night's debacle, today's game is somewhat of a "statement" game for the Yanx. Pineda and the offense need to step today.

We all know that Gomez has a solid "head case" record, but when you are getting your ass handed to you in your own ball park his stuff is minor compared to what is happening within the frame work of this team, As Roger Miller once sang it's time to "knuckle down, buckle down, do it, do it, do it. At this point the Yankees need a 2015 version of Aaron Small located in that staff.

...yeah, if they wanna shut Gomez up, try getting him out for a change.

He's an overrated clown so of course he would break out of his slump and kill the Yankees.

I was really hoping that Ryan would have struck his lame ass out when he came up late in the game.

I want Betances to hit him and then kick his little ass.

^^^ If Betances does hit him I'd love to see Gomez charge the mound...Dellin is a monster.

Lineups out....No Tex and Ells out with a sore hip.

The one thing Joe inherited from Torre is that Yankee Pitchers would not fly dust offs. We've discussed this before people like Longoria, Big Sloopi, and the like just digging in. I wouldn't not want my pitchers taking "head shots" (chickenshit) A bit of dust off to keep the other teams offense wondering would be nice. Need to get that Alice Cooper "no more Mr Nice Guy" routine going.

Kay just gave the stat that in the last 20 games the Yankees are hitting .201 against the last 20 starters they have faced. Those starters have an ERA of just over 2.50 in the 20 games.

By these posts I haven't a clue where the game is at, how I would have started this game? first pitch would have had the hitter hit the deck, and let the chips fall where the may, at this point there is no solution to all that is going on, just need to shake it up somehow !

And in those last 20 games the Yankees are 9-11 while the Blue Jays have gone 17-3

This team could use a bench clearing brawl. I'm not a big fan of those in baseball but it might fire this group up a bit.

A-Roid doing his best impression of Stephen Drew.

I'm just calling this the Yankee fade. Ellsbury has had another one of his seasons ruined by injury. Gardner is having a hideous and clueless month at the plate. His July wasn't all that great either and he's back to being that glorified fourth outfielder I've tagged him as before. Arod has done nothing in August aside from the GS but along with Tex carried the offense for two months. Tex also has had a terrible August. Didi went from red hot to again being completely clueless at the plate.

Beltran has by far been the best hitter in the lineup for a while now. Headley has been fine average wise but you're getting zero power out of him. That being said if you have Ellsbury leading off I would put Headley in the two spot in the lineup. He's making contact and getting on base at least. Gardner is giving nothing out of that spot.

2-0 Houston and they have the bases loaded with nobody out. They might be busting this thing wide open here.

Your assessment Vic is pretty much spot on.

It's just unreal that pretty much the entire lineup died. Beltran has been the only consistent bat. I didn't include McCann who while spotty is certainly putting up good offensive numbers from the catcher position. Just very frustrating. I mean another series where currently they have scored 2 runs in the last 22 innings.

4-0 Astros so this is pretty much another game you might have to just forget about.

Great, ANOTHER starter that couldn't get past the 5th inning.

4-0 now, here we go again.

I don't know how the hell this team is a dozen games over 500 but as I've already said, I'm predicting now that this team finishes AT LEAST 5 games out. Remember boys & girls, you heard it here first.
