As the old Brook Benton tune went "It's Just A Matter of Time". I did not think the Yankees would make the playoffs but I sure hoped they could at least come up with a few wins against the Bostons and Jays. Really pissed at how the Yankees let Bautista piss in their faces the last two games. The only real accomplishments remaining would be to finish over .500 and perhaps help Baltimore out of the playoffs. The only thing uglier than the game tonight is the so called "debate:" between Trump and Hillary Hogg!!!!!!!!

Ditto that, I saw an ESPN article couple days ago that Steinbrenner was checking the young player and over seeing improvements at one of the minor league facilities. Maybe he's woke up and smelled the coffee. Next move Hal is to fire people accountable for this teams failures and fire them.
 
MLB's incompetent umpiring in full view tonight in Toronto. Severino throws a pitch that nicks Donaldson's elbow. Happ then clearly throws at Headley causing benches to empty. Both sides were warned when he should've been thrown out of the game. Then Severino plunks Smoak and the benches clear again. Severino, Girardi and Rothchild end up ejected. Just a complete joke coupled with Russell Martin pretending he actually wanted any of Gary Sanchez.

I was hoping sanchez was poppimg free to kick the shit out of martin which is what that would have been. CC also wanted a piece of martin who was mouthing off from a safe distance

for hitting a batter! For years I have been blasting Yankees for not hitting or brushing
back certain hitters. Now that the kid does it, he gets tossed by this jerk behind the plate.

Martin, Donaldson, and Joey Bats are all Fucking Hot Heads that should of been ejected also. Happ the instigator gets to stay in the Game. Bullshit.
 
For years the Yankee Pitching Staffs were not permitted to "dust" the like of Big Sloppi, Longoria, or Joey Bat and have paid a premium price for the same. I don't believe in "head hunting" just keep people honest. I'm following on game cast so I'll have to catch this on Quick Pitch. Martin, fuck him, I hated that asshole when he was a Yankee.
 
There was no reason for Headley to be thrown at. Donaldson was barely hit by an inside pitch.

Betances is the classic million dollar arm with a ten cent brain. Doesn't have the mental makeup to close.

Left and came back to what I feared, Betances choked again, bases loaded. Tonight every horse shoe Merle Haggard ever tossed over his left shoulder went up the Yankees Butts. 1-3 is better than 0-4 but I still had hoped for a split. One thing though, if Toronto is wild card they will most likely face Texas and Bautista will get ODORED sometime during the playoffs.
 
Just a terrible botch job by the home plate umpire tonight. You cannot have a guy throw behind somebody and then hit them without tossing them out of the game. Severino did what he had to do even though he was clearly going to be ejected.

Happ got off easy as he sat back both times to watch the Brawls, He knew damn well that he was the reason for it, that's why he laid low. Glad to see the Yankees win the Game although it doesn't really mean much at this point.

...another reason why I still dislike the DH rule.
 
The Blue Jays are the biggest group of fake tough guys in baseball. It was proven when Odor clocked Bautista in the face and it was in full display tonight. Guys like Donaldson and Martin jawing at Sanchez and CC while hiding behind their teammates. Severino did exactly what Nova did a few years ago. Told them to bring it and not one of these phonies did a thing except act tough as soon as people where between them and nothing was going to happen.
 
Per Gibbons post game comments "teams have been taking pot shots at us all year". Here's the deal manager, Bautista got ODORED in Texas, that should have been a major clue. Donaldson had to be taken aside not long ago and spot counseled by his manager. Martin is another "mouth". The Game ending plays by Layne and Gardner were of the above and beyond the call of duty. Glad the game ended as it did but a 3 up, 3 down would have been much more precise.
 
Donaldson got nicked by an inside pitch while hanging over the plate. It wasn't at his head and was just a waist high inside pitch that hit him so lightly Sanchez was still able to catch it. That's a pot shot? That's a reason for Haap to throw at Headley twice? It was completely ridiculous.
