Rick, no offense....but I really don't give a ah!t because I'm getting pretty close to ignoring the whole board with the exception of one or two....but I'll probably hang around just to help enhance and add some much needed juice and credibility to this moribund boring predictable ( not all) bunch of crybabies who populate this board and instead of just passing up or reserving comment on my posts which THEY disagree with, THEY are the ones who try and make huge issues of it.
The usual two or three posters who actually try and portray me as knowing less about the Yankees and baseball but have in reality begun to realize as this season moves along that I am being proven "correct" and more accurate than they are and they just can't handle it...lol........Plenty of times, too many times I have heard the usual one or two posters telling me-
"you're wrong again"....."again you don't know what you're talking about"....."You never learn do you"?
I won't even get into the personal vulgar insults with profanity.
It's understandable as one begins to realize he's "losing" the debate...lol
Here's a very recent example of why I might just leave this crap and wave bye bye to some of your fellow
"smart Yankee posters".....this was in THIS thread....and to be honest, it sometimes really feels beneath me addressing some of these comments.
Totus (post 12)
"Hey cash.....remember those guys Montero and Jackson"?
Obviously he was upset because Montero got two hits and Jackson had the RBI single.
And he was ready to pin the loss on Cashman, like a good little Cashman basher..lmao
So of course I owed a good response for the sake of sane, rational Yankee/baseball fans and maybe I also offered some info and facts which he needed to know as a
"smart Yankee poster".
And here was my reply to this ridiculous garbage:.....and it's funny how an assinine comment like post #12 went by without a single reply.....except for me.
At least if there was an "outsider" or two browsing they wouldn't think too many Yankee fans are shallow...or prejudiced against the GM.
My reply to post #12 in THIS thread:
"Yeah....yeah.....I bet he does remember them.
If I remember correctly, (and I'm guessing Cashman also remembers).......
Austin Jackson is the guy they used to acquire Granderson who averaged (per 162 g) 37 HRs, 98 RBI, .829 OPS over four seasons and this includes one year when he played only 61 games due to a broken bone HBP in his forearm.
Back to Jackson- he has averaged career per season,, 10 HRs, 55 RBI, .731 OPS and 168 Ks and has hit a grand total so far,of 20 HRs since 2013.
Jesus Montero?....yes...the name rings a bell. Was supposed to be a "catcher" and has thrown out 14% (lol) of sb/att in his career.
Has a career .256 BA and .695 OPS....
....maybe he can replace Tex and/or Bird at 1b next year and we return Pineda to the Mariners"?
Before - maybe - before I leave .....just for the hell of it.....Yanks need 40 more wins to reach the "APPROX 90" wins I "predicted" before the season started.....why am I saying this now? Simple- as the board "ignores" me,...and I just might drop out anyway.....
I just want to remind y'all that I was the ONLY one who went as high as that.....some of you had the Yanks for 82-85 wins, that's fine....they could be right.
Another genius had them for .500, could be, but I doubted it in March...and STILL do.
Just do me a favor, when the Yanks win their 90th game, take your pals' head out of the sand long enough to remind them who predicted it.
And then tell them to eat my sh!t. Lol.
I think it's only fair since I've taken my share of bashing , and Pasta and Bernbabybern have ALSO recognized the chummy, snide, cheap shot triple teaming a couple/few of you guys specialize in. Still doesn't make "you" any smarter.
