He lost an 'easy' win.
 
And here's the part that drives me nuts on the rule side. Wilson came in & threw 5 pitches to close out the 5th. He is now the pitcher of record. And if he doesn't throw another pitch this game & the Yankees keep the lead he gets the win. For throwing 5 pitches in a 3rd of an inning.

After a 5-0 lead they better not let this one get away.
 
Victorious!!!! 19-11 is a pleasant surprise.
 
Good win but that was a lot closer then it had to be.
 
Sure, but they won so that's all that matters. There's a long way to go but if they can keep it up and then get some pitching reinforcements healthy. They will be in very good shape. First step is just worrying about the division. Nobody is all that great where they can't win it.
 
I'm concerned about the over load of work on the bullpen because our starters can't get past the 6th inning.

Not to say 5-0 is not a great lead but this was a game where they had chances to get more and really put it away. Either way they won it but yes a lot of close games with the pen getting taxed.

If you want to expand your line of thinking, Wilson's appearance was the difference in the Yanks getting out of the 5th inning with a lead instead of losing.

Did you even watch the game? there's a reason he (Wilson) wasn't credited with a hold. Because he allowed 2 runs to score in the 1 (ONE) inning he was in there. Yeah genius, he really saved the day.

When you say I see things in an "OBTUSE" way,
Do you mean being correct on two of THE BIGGEST issues surrounding the Yanks entering this season as you saw things incorrectly (but not obtuse..lol)
As we speak:
1) Arod making a contribution to the 2015 Yankees (and making it out of ST)
2) Yanks doing much better and on pace to do much better than YOU said they would.
