The Yankees win but it was more luck than baseball skills. Too many LOB, Too many opposing runners reaching before an out was made. 4.1 innings from a starters is not promising and the relievers struggled through their time. I guess they'll take it but a very poor overall showing against a Baltimore Team.
Yankee pitching was mediocre from beginning to ending. Hitting was sporadic, but
opportune. HRs scored every Yankee run. Such dependency causes bad habits......
Voit .179, Sanchez .192, Tauchman .167, Gardner .200, Bird .227
Tyler Austin was praised highly by Rocco Baldelli during a ST interview. Damn they stabber TA in the back. I always liked him but I guess Cashman & Boner didn't . They'd rather have Butcher Voit at first. I hope TA lands a job somewhere.

No wonder Sancheet
to swings for the fences, he can't run the bases.
Everyone swings for the fences.
This is NOT a championship caliber club.
I've gotta go watch a Little League just to remind myself what get ' em on, get 'em over, get 'em in means ...
I was using ESPN Gamecast to keep tabs on this game which became erratic as hell. My thought was that the Yankees won this game on luck more so than actual skill. These highlights enabled me to see more of what actually happened. Sanchez with another dumb move starting off a bases loaded no out scenario by getting picked off. End result no runs scored. I also did not realize that Green had gotten the bases loaded and got Davis to ground out to first. Extremely lucky there, Davis may have poor stats but is long over due for something. I'd imagine while all that stuff was going on Boner was blowing bubbles and scratching his ass.
