Bottom line is we are an improving team but still in transition with too many holes to be a championship team. Hopefully cashman doesn't trade assets for a quick fix somewhere that does nothing for the long run. I think the play is to move more vets like gardner, pineda and even cc when he comes back for more young players and play more kids. And while on the topic don't think austin is the answer at first and if bird has any more setbacks would like to see them bring up mike ford who in double and triple a this year is batting .300 with 12 homers and has lefty power which plays well here.
