Okay Ron when you get a chance, I'm making Chicken Fried Steak with Country Gravy tonight.....any tips???![]()
So do I but the recipe is confusing.OMG! I love chicken fried steak with country gravy.

No Cage you are not too late. I'm going to cook it tonight as the Yankees continue to lose and the Pink Hatters are winning.Lillie, I may be late with this but good to have .
Start with a cube steak which is a top round or sirloin about 4 oz to 6oz each. Tenderize with a meat mallet or electric tenderizer. Season each steak with salt and black ground pepper.Put aside. In 2 shallow dishes, Place one cup of flour & season with black pepper in one and in the other whisk two eggs. Dredge each steak in the flour then dip in the egg dish and then back to flour dish. Place coated steaks on a rack. Place an 1/8 cup of Crisco in heavy frying pan
and cook each steak 3 to 4 minutes each side. Place steaks on paper towels to drain. Add 2 tblspns of dredging flour to oil in pan. Cook for one minute scraping up brown bits from the skillet. Gradually whisk in one cup of milk.
Wisk for 3 to 4 minutes on medium heat until gravy becomes bubbly. Lower heat but keep stirring as you add salt & 1/2 tsp of pepper. Should make a nice smooth gravy. Put over the steak and if you make mashed potatoes gravy tastes good on the mashed.
Now, I'm hungry. I am going to make this for Sunday nite feast. Lillie, I am sure you made a
great dinner.
Supper??? I'm eating McDonalds.Got called to supper watched the fireworks begin on MLB Tonight highlights. Sock it to 'em Yankees !

This should be fun.Shreve in, now we have cause for concern.
