Not exactly the battle of Cy Young candidates, Warren Jesus Christ surprise us today, ditto offense, lets see a Yankee lead for starters.

Time for a 15-11 type of game. Wait....make that 15-1.

Sox players and staff are equally spent after last night.

Today is the day MLB should drug test.....

Papi getting his own personal strike zone?

Papi should get a personal ball in his ribs. Nice play by Gardner. His head is straight up his ass this season.

As long as his neck doesn't break when removed he'll be ok. Helping the squeeze with "honey doos" today can only look in from time to time.

It's games like these with Shrek, I wish Doc Ellis were still around.....

(clipped from the above URL, only a small part of the entire article):

“The first pitch to Pete Rose was directly toward his head,” as Dock expresses it, “not actually to hit him, ” but as “the message, to let him know that he was going to get hit. More or less to press his lips. I knew if I could get close to the head that I could get them in the body. Because they’re looking to protect their head, they’ll give me the body.” The next pitch was behind him. “The next one, I hit him in the side.” Pete Rose’s response was even more devastating than Dock had anticipated. He smiled. Then he picked the ball up, where it had fallen beside him, and gently, underhanded, tossed it back to Dock. Then he lit for first as if trying out for the Olympics. As Dock says, with huge approval, “You have to be good, to be a hot dog.”
As Rose bent down to pick up the ball, he had exchanged a word with Joe Morgan who was batting next. [...] Morgan taunted Rose, “He doesn’t like you anyway. You’re a white guy.” Dock hit Morgan in the kidneys with his first pitch. “The next batter was Driessen. I threw a ball to him. High and inside. The next one, I hit him in the back.” [...] Bases loaded, no outs. Tony Perez, Cincinnati first baseman, came to bat. He did not dig in. “There was no way I could hit him. He was running. The first one I threw behind him, over his head, up against the screen, but it came back off the glass, and they didn’t advance. I threw behind him because he was backing up, but then he stepped in front of the ball. The next three pitches, he was running. . . . I walked him.” A run came in. “The next hitter was Johnny Bench. I tried to deck him twice. I threw at his jaw, and he moved. I threw at the back of his head, and he moved.”

I'm impressed with the job that Warren is doing but once again the offense just sucks. One hit through 5 innings.

I am surprised by the performance of Warren, not surprised by the habitual lack of performance by the offense.

...^^^ the offensive shortcomings can be attributed to the hitting coach. :blazerwookie::blazerwookie::blazerwookie:

Oh my, such a sophisticated knowledgeable old time baseball fan looking to score points for the ex- batting coach FIVE games into the season.

You're just craving to be "right" ....can't blame you since I've already proven you to be as wrong as can be regarding your (once again early assessment) declaration of AROD being 'toast" and not making it out of:
SPRING TRAINING

Lmaooooooooooo.

Lmaooooooooooooooooooo........this is embarrassing.

Solid baseball. From the top of the org. down they should be embarrassed. I don't want to hear it's early. Seriously, if the kids are producing in minors by the 4th of July, , Bring them up, Cave, Bird, Judge

Early is one thing. Basically every idiot on this team is batting .100. Arod is the only one worth a damn and that's hilarious.

What a fucking joke, 8-1 now & still only one hit. This is like a comedy of errors. And WTF was Didi doing just holding on to that ball while another run scored? I can't believe I waited 6 months to watch this shit.

And its a shame this kid Warren is going to get the loss, giving up only 1 earned run in 5 1/3rd

...ya know, you've become inanely redundant every time you disagree with something I say...you pull this "ARod/Spring training" out of your ass every time...you use it as if it's some sort of reputable weapon...it's your lame-assed answer for everything...give it a fucking rest already. ...with all of the problems with this team, all you can talk about is ARod.
...secondly, you didn't prove me wrong about anything...ARod did.
...thirdly, my reference to the "hitting coach" had absolutely nothing to do with "scoring points with Long"...once again, the actual points escaped you...nothing new.
