This is going to be a tough one.

Tanaka vs. Sale

Yep, if both pitchers are on this game could come down to a bloop and a blast.

another win in beantown.....? I'm drinking Saké tonight, or japanese plum wine....!

Sale will be tough to beat. Tanaka needs to come full circle to be on Sale's level. Then again, when these two teams meet
in Fenway, it could be a slugfest. Throw out all past stats...............as long as the Yankees jolt these Bobosox.

Just a note: Yankees have already won half of the games won last year at Fenway! For those
with a short memory, Yankees won only two games last year at Fenway.

I'm not sure if Joe's sitting Bird down against as tough a southpaw as they come, to boost his platooning confidence??? Sooner of later, Joe's going to have to use Bird vs lefties, or deal with another blown failure to develop a damn fine young player....

Birds vs Lefties: AB's-45/ B'Avg: .222
Bird vs Righties: 163/ B'Avg: .227

take the shot Joe, send Carter Home (for good), and play Bird, sink, swim, or fly like a Bird-

Based on my experiences in Japan may I recommend Akadama. A sweet wine that will knock one out of the park.

I just looked up Akadama, and all i can find is soil for Bonsai plants, j/k....
I'll take a trip to the Asian Grocery store, come Tank's next outing, to find the elusive Akadama. I've long enjoyed a good port, -

YF5545, the Akadama you speak of, is it a Port or Plum vino....

looks like Akadama has quit a few vintage vinos...

The whiskey in Japan then Torys or Suntorys tasted like crap. When going local it was Sapporo Beer or Akadama or Akidoo as we called it. Yep that stuff fueled some good raunches. Tried Sake but never really liked.

My Husband just got home with Pizza and saw my Wine Glass in the Kitchen and said "your starting already???" I just smiled and said it's going to be a long night.

...good find, Caged.

...memo to the rest of the offense...take note of Torreyes' approach to Sale, ...cut down on your swing and simply concentrate on making contact.

...and oh, Ellsbury, take the fucking bat off your shoulders and swing instead of watching 2 called third strikes go by.

...good defensive turn of the DP by Carter...kinda made up for the DP he hit into himself earlier.

...oh goodie, the Boston fans break out the ole "Yankees suck" chant...those Red Sox fans are so neurotically witty.

MLB getting as bad as ESPN on being Boston shills. Torreyes, like that kid, hustler 1st class.

Just keep swatting away Yankees, why don't you try to work the pitch count.

...great starting pitching by both teams in both games so far.

would of rather seen Bird over Carter vs the righty Hembree

OK lets see 3up, 3 down and finish the damn game!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

...97 pitch complete game shutout gem by Tanaka...good guys win 3-0.

A masterpiece!

Oh boy, Tanaka is the ace we all know and love.

Well it wasn't a bloop and blast to get run 1, but some base hustle and a Sac Fly by Mr. Holliday. That man hung in there and made Sale work each time he came up there.
