Montgomery vs. Duffy

Lineups to follow...

The Yankees made Duffy look like Cy Young last time they saw him, time to roll the Royals in the Bronx. Jmo luck to you, hope the offense is out in force for you tonight.

Ellsbury -CF
Hicks -LF
Holliday -DH
Castro -2B
Judge -RF
Gregorious -SS
Headley -3B
Romine -C
Carter -1B

I was curious about Yankee pitchers, especially the starters who are having a tough time getting
past the fifth inning and its effect on the rest of the staff. Was surprised that Yankee staff ranks 8th
in ERA with an 3.86, yet this stat is misleading. Yankee starter ERAs: Pineda 3.35, Severino 3.64,
Sabathia 4.62, Montgomery 4.81, and this is the crusher......Tanaka 6.56. The relief corp is split....
Betances, Clippard, Holder, & Warren are all below 3.00; Cessa, Gallegos, Mitchell & Layne(8.18)
are all above 5.00. At this rate the starters need to lengthen their innings per game or the relievers
will implode before the summer months.
The big scare is Masahiro Tanaka who has tanked in most of his starts. He claims he has no arm
problems. He is at a loss with his miserable performances.

BTW, if this staff is ranked 8th, what does that say about the rest of the MLB staffs?

While waiting to take the squeeze to the grocery store I decided to see what was happening on MLB Network. They had a piece on the Yankees and the major topic was the declining performance of our boy Mr. Headley and how Mr. GT could play all infield positions and had been recently promoted. Not that any actions they spoke of could happen or are "gospel" but it would seem when a players name is brought up on that format somebody is thinking something. They also mentioned Frazier who is doing well I guess, then discussed Gardner & Ellsbury. Extremely high praise for Judge. Pretty cool stuff. Even Brian Kenney diluted his normal nerd self when discussing the '17 team, ditto Joe Magrane a normal Yankee hater.

...can't stand Brian Keeney, never could...while I understand the value of some of the sabermetric stats, unlike Kenney, I also use my eyes to judge a player.

I can deal with Amsinger and Plesac, the other Idiots are unwatchable.

Quick Pitch excepted I don't watch much MLB Network. The segment I saw while waiting for the Squeeze was Kenney, Magrane, Sherman and a 4th person I didn't recognize. Magrane tries to be a pseudo intellectual like Kenney & Sherman but at least he played. Now add Amsinger is another "journalist" I like to rap in the head with a Police Baton. Never played the game then tries to tell those who did what is up. Pleasac, can't handle him either, "drinking that kool aid" "the moose is on the loose" and "la potencia" Spanish for "The Man" Hate to tell Danny boy that La Potencia means the power. But back to the game go Yankees kick some butt.

Hicks unloads with no one on. Yankees up 1-0 going to 5th inning.

Carter with bombs in consecutive games, Castro flies out with bases jammed. damn!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nice job Warren you fucking joke, you just single handedly shit all over a fine performance by Jmo! Fuck you!

Warren do not waste JMo's effort! The kid deserves a win here. And you just
fucked up the kid's mastery.

And that's why the stats are deceiving.......Warren needed one out, so.......
he gives up 2 runs and ruins JMo's gem. You POS!

Well Pitched Game, sorry offense, crock of crap, the Yankees should be kicking ass on KC

And Holder shits in the 8th inning. Well, Girardi .......you cannot depend on stats with this group
of gerbils. Shitting the bed is their norm. Ugh!

Shit ans Shreeve both start with SH. Yankees Pen is in sorry shape, three consecutive relievers fail at their job. Get on it Rothschild.

And the beat goes on.......Shreve comes in for Holder. Boom! Another 2 run homer. Just keep
on bringing in the "Shit Squad". They all know what to do. Throw gopher balls. Girardi,
you have a job ahead of you! Maybe, you should beg the home plate umpire
to throw you out of the game. It would be 'mercy' at its best.

Winkin', Blinkin' and Nod were the bullpen fuckups but there were offensive fuck ups as well. Castro with the bases juiced was the biggest. Station to Station Baseball seems to have crept into the ranks. Get to a base, then wait for the bomb. Screw that, lets see some stealing, first to thirds Christ there is plenty of speed on this team. Sure was sorry to see Jmo get the loss for that game. He's been coming along nicely, a good addition to the staff. Shit he may be the ace given the deplorable status of Tank & Sevey.

...^^^JMo only gave up 1 run, Warren actually was charged with the loss, and rightfully so.

...but anyway, it ended up being a frustrating loss after most of us probably thought it would surely be a win.

I'm jealous & angry. I'm jealous that the Atlanta Braves' relief pitchers have not given up a run nor a hit
for the last 49.2 innings. Can you guess why I am angry? Yup. The Yankee relief pitchers keep giving up
runs at an alarming rate of late.
