Tanaka vs. Zimmerman

Lineups to follow...

Ok guys this is not going to be pretty...:rotfl:

In discussion the Austin Jackson and similar catches last night I heard Bill Ripkin say that the Willie Mays catch in the '54 World Series wasn't that great.

1. The catch had impact, the 111 Game Indians were supposed to swab all over the Giants.

2. Willie racing what seemed an extra long sprint to close the gap.

3. over the shoulder catch plus a responsive throw back to the infield

4. Damn Mr. Ripkin I did agree with you.

If Zimmerman & Tanaka are on could be quite a duel. This team needs to start stringing hits and move traffic or go down the tubes. My vocabulary went right down the toilet when Holliday did that GIDP and the Yankees failed in the 9th and against former Yankees Greene. You can get all the guys you want but until they are cohesive success will not come.

Judge needs to get out of this awful funk. Aside from a few homers since the break he's clueless at the plate.

Gardner -LF
Ellsbury -CF
Judge -RF
Sanchez -C
Gregorious -SS
Holliday -DH
Headley -1B
Frazier -3B
Torreyes -2B

3 batters 3 hits 1 run 2nd and 3rd no outs. get your shit together tanaka

ok. limited damage to 1 run. Now lets get the bats going and score some runs

Just saw a disturbing stat on Tanaka. Since 1913 he has had the highest ERA (14,81) of any pitcher with 5 or more starts.

Looks like the rain delay put Tanaka off by one run!!!! Yankees went down like a three pin bowling strike in
their half inning. 1-0 bad guys.

^^^^ saw that A. Jackson catch, was a nice play indeed, but no fkng way could one compare it with Mays incredibly historical catch. Mays catch was voted as the best catch ever in baseball for OF'rs.....; and no doubt the best catch I've ever seen in MLB, shit even the NFL....

wtf Ripkin's drinking; a cup of his brother's sweat n tears. Billy couldn't carry his brothers jock strap in his playing daze; and he's never been worth a shit as an announcer either.....If Billy didn't have a HOF brother named Cal, we'd never know who he is/was, and he'd be unemployable....

An all-around ball player Eldersbury ain't it!!!! He fields a single into a run scoring error.......way to go you
jackass!

Yankees have no answer to Jordan Zimmerman's pitches.

Shaky start but Tanaka has kept this team in a game that they seem to be reluctant to enter. Yankees can have all of the Garcias and Grays or whom ever but if the offense doesn't hit its all for naught!

Tow on, none out, fuck Gregorius, Holliday, & Headley, couldn't even get a sac fly!!!!!!!!!!!!

Second and third with nobody out ends up with nothing. This offense is putrid right now.

name of the game, risp/lob, too many....anemic offense. If this team s/b so lucky as to see playoffs, ("playoffs, whose talking playoffs"- Jim Mora), they would never make it past the first round; or lose it all in a one game WC playoff????

Tho' truth be known, none of us expected our Yanx to be this close, this late in a pennant race.....

but - boy do the Boyz look pathetic, dog daze of summer (heat n humidity) taking its toll....

speak too soon, Gardy channel your Chi, your "force be with you" hr mind, and follow with Judge, give us something to rise for other than your mere honorable presence.....~

hard to believe this is the same Miggy who just a few yrs ago, won 2 MVP's and the Triple Crown.

Miggy's hitting .257, and hasn't hit below .313 since 08, hell Miggy has only hit below .313 only 3 times in his career, first two yrs & 08. The man is a standing HOF'r, imo...

ntm- a batting title only 2 yrs ago, and 4 out of 5 batting titles from 011-015.

let me add to previous comment; Miggy's got to get at least 490 Hr's, play a few more years, decently, to become a standing HOF'r....

Girardi needs to stop with Holliday and Todd Frasier.

Seen game delayed checked NYC Weather heavy T-storms this evening. Yankee may lose this one to Mother Nature. Down here in St Pete we've had monsoon rains because of a Tropical Depression coming through yesterday.

What did the Yankees see in Todd Frazier? Oh wait, he'll come through in the playoffs..........meanwhile,
he is hitting in a Carteresque manner.
