Game Thread Yankees vs. White Sox Thursday 6/13/19, 8:10 pm

Our old buddy Nova.
LMHU batting .667 vs Nova
Gio's batting .500 vs him

But Anderson and Alonso are batting near the same vs Happ.

3 of 4 won't work vs the lowly Pale Hose, they gotta sweep as the Yanx play 3 vs Tampa Bay, followed by a 4 game series vs the Ass-tros ...

Happ has won his last 3...

Tampon Bay's next 9 games
Oakland
Halos
Yanx
Oakland

So 4 of 4 a Sweep has gottahappen, anything less, imo is a failure...

My Team is the Yankees. My second favorite team is any that knock of a Yankees contender. Good job today Oakland.

Me 3

But I gotta confess I do enjoy watching certain players and/or Teams.
Tho we get all Bums and Halos games, I've only watched a few At Bats by Trout, Seager and Bellinger.
I've not seen more than 1/2 an inning of either team but a couple of times.

Hell, I won't even watch Kershaw anymore. Imo CK's done for. I refuse to watch or.even acknowledge the Pon Ohtani. I have a strong disdain for both teams, from Ownership to Mgrs: Robert's and Ass-mus.

I do enjoy watching Joey Votto and Scooter Gennett play D & bat.
Same with a few others- Yelich, Mad Max, Acuna, Swanson and Freeman. deGrom, Story and Arenado.
In the AL, the kid Merrifield is impressive.

I gotta confess I do enjoy watching the Ass-tros mostly due to having their single A+ Team here in town from 2004-2016.
Watching Correa, Springer, Altuve and Bergman was pretty cool in A+ Ball, it was obvious they were building a winning contender.
In 2013-2014, I said to anyone who would listen: "The Ass-tros are gonna be in the Series by 2017 and win it by 2018". They were ahead of schedule...

Keuchel also played here, but he didn't impress me at all. I was shocked he made it to the big time.

Truth be told I think Machado wanted to be a Yankee but no room on the bus and Yankee Fans were not in with his acquisition. He got his 300 mil and has the opportunity to be the big fish in the small pond though that is not the case at the moment.

Rangers Shit The Bed and The Pink Hatters Won 4-3.

From the worst team in the NHL in December. To Stanley Cup champions June.
Congratulation to the St Louis Blues or winning their first Stanley Cup. And a bigger congratulations for defeating Boston...

2 first for Justin Verlander last night versus Milwaukee. Verlander struck out a career-high 15 batters. He also gave up two home runs, one of them being the first home run off of his slider this year. The batter was left-handed-hitting yasmani grandal.

JV wound up with a No Decision...

I have to wonder about Verlander. The man was thought to be about done and gets traded to Houston. He then takes on a Transition akin to Clark Kent coming out of a Telephone as Superman. A friend on mine had the opinion if you're major league you're a suspect.Another guy like that had a similar transition in '98 now I believe lives in the Houston area having pitched for Houston as his last stop.

....^^^^

I wonder as well how or what the latest masking agents are being used, in this ever evolving game of cat-and-mouse with the juice..

Clemens, the guy who used illegal rocket fuel and fizzled out into a firecracker...

I've long wondered how his career would've looked like in Toronto, after the Bosox let him go, saying he was washed up? I doubt he would have won those other 4 Cy Young Awards, using rocket fuel....

What blows my mind is his 59.5% HOF Votes this year. I wouldn't be surprised if the bbwaa elects the blatant cheater ???

"Down in the swampland where anything goes, it's alligator bait and the bars don't close"...

The Pale Ho's took two of three from the Yankees in April
Nova-
He beat the Yankees the last time these two matched up. He went six innings while striking out five and only surrendered one run. Oddly enough, that start was one of Nova’s best on the year. His entire body of work has been pretty dreadful so far.
He has a 6.28 ERA and allows 12.2 H/9. Opponents have Hall of Fame-type numbers against him, a .333/.379/.536/.935 slash line.

Prior to Tonight's Game The Yankees placed Kendrys Morales on The DL with a Left Calf Strain and recalled Nestor Cortez Jr. and Mike Tauchman from Triple A.

Missed out on Kackel, to the best on my knowledge the Yankees were not interested so he (Kackel) took his beard to Atlanta and got 13 mill. If the Yankees dealt with LA I'd hope Estrada would be retained. Scherzer would be a great pick up, get on it Cashman, if you can't develop an ace then buy one, course that hasn't worked too well in the past. If Scherzer were to leave DC I don't know what his choices would be, I'm sure he'd want to contribute to a winner.

Dumb fuckers should have kept Tauchman from the get go, Morales on the DL is akin to one fott in the grave and the other on a banana peel.
