To be fair.... the boomer generation has killed everything in this country. On so many levels.

If I were part of that generation, I’d probably wear a diaper at all times and plead ignorance and/or dementia.

Well, I'm a boomer, and I've got to tell you that I definitely do.

What kind of “entitlement” is it when you consistently overlook the truth in favor of the politically correct agenda?
What the fuck is wrong with being "politically correct"? Because PC-ness is about treating people with respect. Calling people gay, not fags; blacks or African American, not the n-word; women, not bitches; Native Americans, not Indians; get the picture? Btw- 160 years is not that long unless you're 9. And no, there aren't any slave owners now BUT there are families descendant of slave owners who HAVE MONEY and POWER because of SLAVES who worked to build THEIR family wealth. They are STILL REAPING THE BENEFITS. Why aren't the descendants of those slaves given that money??? And our President retweets a video of a man saying "White Power!" so racism has never been more prevalent than it is right now.

So race relations would be so much better if black people and allied anti racists did nothing when George Floyd was killed, when Ahmed Arburry was killed, when Breonna Taylor was killed, when Eric Garner was killed, when Michael Brown was killed, when Sandra Bland was killed, when Tamir Rice was killed, when Trayvin Martin was killed, when Emmett Till was killed... just suck it up!

Most murders, incidentally, are committed by people the victim knows. Often a family/ household member. So most murders of black people are committed by black people, most murders of white people are committed by white people, most murders of LatinX people are committed by LatinX people, etc.

Its an instant, "what have you done for me lately?" world bro.

Some people don't give a shit about how today is affected by the events of yesterday . In fact they are in such denial based on their own privilege, that even if it had an affect, it doesn't matter.... that was yesterday!!!

Ignore it if you wish, but Black Lives Matter has destroyed thousands of black businesses and black neighborhoods across the country. Seventeen people have been killed by the protestors, including a black cop who served his community for 37 years. Motorists have been attacked on freeways, innocent white people have been beaten and shot at, windows broken, stores looted, public monuments vandalized, and on and on. America is watching, and most Americans are horrified by the random and senseless violence. The behavior of BLM is not changing racial attitudes—it is reinforcing them.
I’ve always agreed with Malcom X in that the black community doesn’t need to be used by whites and that they should lead their own way.

Would like a list of the 17 people allegedly killed by BLM that the rest of the world missed but racist web sites know about.

It's with the plans to the pizza place.

You know you can ignore a viewpoint when it not only alleges that there's shadowy "cabal" aided by the media but that actually the most oppressed group of people in the nation are running it. It takes effort to be this ignorant.
1000% yes

Yes, you’re woke. Give yourself a hand. You have bought the p.c. nonsense hook, line and sinker. But if you’re interested in the real agenda of BLM, check out what one of their leaders in New York said about burning down the country if they don’t get their way.
Admit it Binx, your wrong. It's okay to be wrong as long as eventually you turn to being right. In other words, it's not what you believed, it's what you believe.

If you want to wear a diaper, that's your business but don't tell me what to do.

Being politically correct means being polite. There, now that isn't too difficult, is it?

Can't wait to see Kyrie Irving's "Jet Fuel Doesn't Melt Steel Beams" on the back of his.

Whoa! We had our faults, to be sure. But we also organized peaceful protests of hundreds of thousands that helped stop a war. Sat in for civil rights. Began the second wave of feminism when it was considered a joke. Started the gay liberation movement. Sat in, in wheelchairs, at government buildings and won the Americans with Disabilities Act. Organized the first Earth Day. Brought organic and whole food mainstream.

The national anthem is a political statement only to those who hate their own country.
In your opinion. America was built on protest. It can't truly be all it can be without it. Lack of fair justice, housing, healthcare, and wages, lead to many feeling like they're squashed with no voice. So when their voices aren't heard, they do something that gets the attention of the powers that be to open their eyes and do the right thing. They don't necessarily "hate" their country, they "hate" how things haven't changed, and how unfair to many people it continues to be.

Mark down one more way people shouldn't protest--painting the name of a cause onto courts they're going to play a game on.

The rules of protest are very simple: do it quietly on your own time, in your own home, between the hours of 9 AM and 7 PM. And don't tell anyone you did it, because it might make others uncomfortable to hear about it.

I give props there. That generation started positive social movements, in spite of tough opposition. But pretty much all other gens throw the boomers on the fire as far as economical/financial developments go.

It is the last gen to have it better financially than the preceding generation.

I’d certainly recommend you purchase reading glasses, boomer.
You know I have trouble seeing as a result of an injury during combat actions so I've gotta give you that one.

Not so. I am definitely worse off than my parents. I will never own a home. I did have reasonably affordable college but graduated into double digits unemployment. I was able to retire by not having things.

You may be an exception.

I don’t necessarily agree (as a Boomer) that I have it better than my parents (at least as an adult). I admittedly have it “good” but what my parents were able to provide via one income took two incomes for my wife and I to provide. And we had a lot of luck along the way. What the “Greatest Generation” started (and passed on to the Boomers) was never particularly sustainable in the first place. Somebody had to pay for the systems and structures they put into place and now the bill has come due. That’s an oversimplification but that’s how I see it.....

Not only that a lot of why the economy boomed post war was due to how decimated Europe was post war. We had the ability to create jobs/economic development and growth that simply put, couldn't exist anywhere else.
We benefited big time for that. Those advantages are gone and are never coming back, no matter how simplistic the slogans are.

I’m speaking in general terms of what I’ve read, the statistics, etc. Like every statistic or assertion, they don’t fit everyone 100%. I made a fairly generic statement, but it’s pretty much true (most other generations are currently throwing the blame for nearly everything on the boomer generation).

Sounds like an uninformed thing to say from someone who's never been to any of the protests. Our marches are 35K strong and 85% white.

You're focused on the wrong things and enabling racists. Those must be your folk you sure are riding with them. Well FUCK THOSE RACISTS. Focus on why people are protesting not how. Because those folks you're supporting killed Martin for being nonviolent. But the thing is, this time your side's gonna lose. WE OUT HERE!!!
