Simple poll. Compared to their previous season, who will have a better year?

Yi is a workout superstar. He does everything he's told at practice like a robot. I'm sure Yi will be the starter in the beginning of the season just like in Milwaukee.
As the season progress, that'll be a different story.
I think Najera gets the nod to start the season at PF with Lopez at center. I think Yi will come off the bench in the beginning and as the season goes on he'll move into a starters role.
He's going to be a little beat from all the work this summer and Frank will want to bring him along slowly so he'll have something left in the tank at the end of the season.
Yi > Williams.
Both are athlethic freaks, but a black athletic freak is obviously more athletic than a chinese athletic freak![]()
Didn't say he'd demand starting. I just think he will. That doesn't jive. Najera already said during an interview, he's cool being the veteran teaching the youngsters.
Najera is here to lead by example and I would guess that he's the type of guy that goes hard all the time. Also, they don't go all out during practice.
I agree, he did a shitload of defending in the Olympics. He rebounded a whole lot, too.Didn't say he'd demand starting. I just think he will.

I just think Yi will be tired. I use to think he'd start, but recently changed my opinion. I also think Lopez will start over Boone. I think Lopez gives the team a post presence and the team will want to see what they have early in the season. Najera providing the grit, experience and leadership alongside Lopez makes more sense than Yi. Boone and Yi off the bench gives the team more options. As preseason goes on maybe I'll change my opinion again.
If Lopez starts at Center, I believe Boone will start at PF
I don't. There will be no back-up center and we'll need one with Lopez picking up plenty of rookie fouls.
Swat could get some time there, but he's a little undersized and a fouling machine himself.
Could always move Boone to center once Lopez exits, but eventually he'll get tired. Off the bench makes the most sense.
In the long-term big picture I think the teams wants Boone as a reserve.
Long term, maybe. But Boone, right now, is the best bigman Nets have. I see him as a starter when the season starts.
Of course, I could be wrong.
Athletic 7'0" who's fast to boot? What makes you think he doesn't have the physical gifts?
I think he's the best too. I think he'd wind-up with the most minutes in the end just due to Lopez being a rookie. But alongside Lopez I think Najera works better because of his experience and his ability to defend out to the perimeter.
It's going to be interesting to see how all things bigs work together. They all bring something a little different.
