NI, i too watched the game... and i couldnt help but notice that they dont give him the ball enough... its always yao or yao kicks out and they take a 3 pointer... and yao doesnt look for yi... and in the 4th quarter with around 3 mins left they take out yi and the coach tries to talk to yi and he has his hands like saying... why u take me out coach im playin my heart out...

did u get that for anybody else who watched the game? LOL and i love watchin it without the commentators

but u hear angola's coach during timeouts... quite funny...

I was thinking the same thing. Yi doesn't play well with Yao. Yi has to move around to create space for Yao and end up being way outside and he doesn't shoot.

and in the post interview with the cnt team head coach... he even admits that he feels that Yi doesnt have good chemistry with yao... so i guesss he feels that everybody should make the effort to have good chemistry with yao...

what about your superstar tryin to have good chemistry with you? like what kg did with the celtics... he told pierce and ray to play their game and he will fit in... HUH?!?! yao u were hurt and injured... granted ur the best player on the team... but still u were hurt and they were playin without u, then you come back and u expect everybody to be on page with u... cmon

yi worked hard... i saw it in the game vs angola... he was workin hard off the picks and rolls, the dribble drive / pass... he did all of that... and he was workin hard for position when a rebound was up for grabs... the kid is athletic... the cnt coach and the cnt guards do not kno how to utilize Yi's strenght... and thats his FREAKISH athletism... and his set shots... the guards penetrates thans kick out to the far end for 3 pointers... and when Yi is rite there open for an elbow jumper... give him the freakin ball

In cnt, YI's first priority is defence & rebounds, that's his job. So when Yao is back, he gets less points. But this is just what we want to see, we don't need everybody to get points. We have Yao and several 3-pointers, Yi is only the 4th choice.

well no disrespect intended here... but the cnt has several 3 pointers? umm who? and its obviously not working cuz the cnt is 1-2... they had a shot to beat spain... look i may be bias but i feel that Yi isnt being used rite... esp what i saw after angola... heh he probably believes in himself and its hard for him to be the 4th option as u say...

i saw the game yestrday and i watch the first half on the link provided and all i saw reguarding Yi was they ran the offense he was the second pass at the foul line then he passed to a guard or small forward, who then got the ball to Yao, who took it to the basket. There were no plays for Yi, and i saw him rebound, and contest and block shots. Over and over the same plays. Yi shot 60%, 10 pts and boards a few blocks and a steal, in an offense which doesn't utilize him, yet people here still think he's garbage. Even though he's really only had half a year in the nba.................interesting...
