Wow I remember sitting and looking at airsoft guns with friends on the school computers in high school during IT class. No problems there... This world is crazy.

Think about that for a minute.

I've never heard of anyone going on a school shooting with an airsoft gun. The very fact that this moron didn't put two-and-two together tells me all I need to know about him.

I hope the families sue.
 
That was a pretty horrible article to read, was thinking It was a news story but was basically an opinion piece. I read the story a few days ago from a different media outlet and the very next day the school dropped the suspension and the superintendent sent out a letter saying the school was in the wrong but would indeed hold students "accountable" for liking photos that endanger or intimidate others at the school. So basically they are sorry in this case but might do it again, this jumping to the worst possible conclusion gets taken to the extreme to often when it comes to schools imo.

Never have used it. I don't give a shit about Susies' expensive sweet sixteen party and all the fun she had or that her parents are All American Everything. Facebook is ALSO MADE for insecure

I read it and of course knew it was a commentary about a news story. Even my local NBC and Fox newscasters do the same thing for every story they report on. They're just not so obvious but if you listen you hear it.

Just more proof of our pussydom.

I pretty much only use facebook to stay in touch with family and to advertise my band and keep track opf other bands I know.
Other than that its one of the biggest wastes of time we have seen as a society and I swear I beleive it is a serious threat to our economy as a whole.
How many employees are on the clock checking the latest feed instead of getting work done? I see it all the time in our hourly employees. Not only does it take actual time away from production but its a mental distraction.

And it is 100% a tool for those with low self esteem to feel like they have the attention they need to feel good about themselves.

Some of the posts I see are sad sad sad indeed. I don't want to know that much about your personal troubles.. I would have no clue what to say because your an acquaintance and I don't know you that well. Stop crying on my FB doorstep!!!!!
Send that shit in PMs to people that actually know you. or pick u pa phone and call your mother for support or something....but for tghe love of God, stop using FB as a delivery method for your depression. It will only further the process of you falling down the rabbits hole of feeling like nothing.
Get out in the world and do something. Accomplishing something, to me, is a much better tool for helping low self esteem then being glued to the FB shit that goes on and hoping someone feels sorry for you.
 
And as to the article,

It is not a BAD things schools are being extremely cautions, but they must also use common sense.....
Kids will be kids.
Kids will play cops and robbers
Kids will have water gun and paint gun fights.
Kids will like certain paint guns over others. They have the right to let their preference be known if they want.
Educate the kids, don't isolate them!!!!!

It looks like the school was concerned about a potential Columbine in the making and put the safety of the children and teachers ahead of political correctness.

It gave the school a chance to meet with the parents and the kcal d was reinstated right away.

I say score one for the school.

I can play just about anything to a certain degree, (some smartass around here will probably mention that would include the skinflute or something, lol) but am really a Vocalist/Songwriter. I play rhythm guitar and some synth in the band I am in, Swil. ( www.reverbnation.com/swilnation ). I used to play Bass in a band call Melanoma many many years ago, and can hang pretty well on the bass for most musical genres. And I can lay down some basic drums but excel at funkier type of beats.

We are pretty much a raw guitar based versatile rock band that plays mostly originals with a cover or two that we tweak to our own style. Its my outlet for loud music, though I tend to write mostly on piano when working on my own stuff, which is under Orion Bailey ( www.reverbnation.com/orionbailey ).

Swil has our first show back in a couple years coming up in July, Friday the 28th.
I will spam the forum with it as it gets closer and I get a poster made up. lol.

Do you think suspending the kids would have actually prevented a school shooting if that was what was being planned?

It gives the parents a chance to take away the guns.

Like I said, it's better than doing nothing if there's even a slight perceived risk.
 
I would have been so fucked when I was a kid. I would walk through the hallways of my elementary school making shotgun sounds. I would doodle stick figure wars. I would have been suspended for sure.

just like "hey this is a gun free zone!" guy shoots the place up and no one who follows the law can stop him because they left firearms in the vehicle. liberals man :crazy:
