Toots thielman in Jazz and Little Walter on blues harp were always a couple of my favorites, but honestly John Popper just blows me away. Popper can do more with his harp, be more creative with his harp, than any other musician I know of.
I saw them once in the mid 90's but that's it. I would so love to see them at red rocks. Talk about a joy, mixing a great venue with great music. I have heard a lot "live at red rocks" albums from a ton of bands, and they always seem to have that added bit of majesticness from that local.I'll never forget the first time I heard Blues Traveler. WHFS 99.1 in DC played "But Anyway". I didn't know harmonicas could sound like that.
"All In The Groove" remains my favorite BT track. I see them every July 4th at Red Rocks.
