<div class="quote_poster">J_Ray Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Well the swelling went down after 2 days, so I used crutches for 2 days. Today I went to school without them, but it sort of swelled up a bit from walking on it but nothing bad. Is it normal for it to pop, because everytime it pops I can rotate it a bit more without it hurting. I can put some weight on it, but if I walk flat footed, it hurts like a mofo. I think walking on it today did help it heal faster, but it also made it swell a bit when I stopped walking. I'm out of P.E. for a week, but should I be out a bit longer since we're doing basketball or should I go against my fierce competitive spirit and just not try hard?</div>
I think you shouldn't play basketball in gym. I know you are going to want to, but I don't think your ankles tendons will be properly healed to deal with the types of movement and shocks that are involved when jogging, even light jumping, or quick turns.
Its better to take it slow and have it heal properly than to keep reinjuring it and having it become a nagging injury.
