Crazy to think about how much things have changed. In grammar school, the best computer available was an Apple IIe, and my first PC ran MS-DOS only.

And to think, I'm only 24.

And now I feel young again.

This was my first computer.

It had 3.5 KB of useable RAM and the processor ran at 1.0227 mHZ.

My Dad wanted me to learn to program in BASIC. I learned how to make a box and change the cursor four different colors.

That's as exciting as it sounds, so I tried to play games on it (like GORF) but you can imagine what those were like.

I got a Commodore 64 soon after and that was a computer that was actually useful.

Ah, the good old C64. The games I used to play on that...

My favorites were Hardball (the game Fred Savage is playing at the beginning of Princess Bride), International Superstar Soccer, and all the Infocom games (like Zork and Hitchhiker's Guide).

I used to have to beat the shit out of my hard drive to get games to load, though.

Now, of course, I just have to click.

I played all the old Nintendo games on mine, as well as older games.

I had a Sinclair ZX-81. It has 1k of RAM, but I bought the 16k expansion pack. I had a few games that I could load using a tape recorder, but the volume had to be just right for it to work.

I'd post a link, but I don't know how and I don't care to learn.

You just need to add: "Now get off my lawn!"

Lol all you Oldie and youe C64's. My first PC was a Window '95 HP. What a beast

I don't even remember my first computer all that much. It ran in DOS, and I do remember this game we had, called Wolfenstein...or something like that. And a few other things.

And my elementary school had some crazy games, like Reader Rabbit, Math Blaster, and in music class, some Alice in Wonderland game. It was nuts.

Also, anyone remember Duck Hunt? I LOVED that game.

Back in my day, Oregon Trail was the shit. I named my people funny names like Poop. I never ever got to Oregon becouse well my people starved to death.
