I fell asleep in one after about five minutes. Woke up feeling like I slept for 8 hours straight.

I slept through the San Fernando Earthquake in 1971, tucked right in close to the San Gabriel Mountains near the epicenter.

There's a scene in the movie Tank Girl (I know...) where the protagonist is forced into a narrow drainpipe with her arms at her sides. The thought of being stuck in a pipe in that fashion freaks me the fuck out and I dream about it sometimes.

I have that fear too (but to me, it's not irrational). being confined in an area, like with your arms and legs unable to move (just thinking about it kind of gave me the willies). But that is because when i was a kid I was trapped in between two walls at my grandparents house.

I could wiggle, but I couldn't move my arms or legs. really panicked.

But you put a coat/jacket on me or a sweater and I'm unable to move my arms up or around, and it freaks me out. It'd be a good way to torture me.

there was an old goofy cartoon where goofy is changing his clothes at the beach in one of those turn of the century changing hut things and its really tight quarters in there and he ends up upside down and all cramped up and stuck, and at the age of 5, i knew if there was a hell, that would be mine

being eaten by a shark. not a fan of going in the ocean because of it, and doubt I'll ever be able to comfortably take any sort of cruise. When I've flown over any section of the ocean, my fear was the plane would crash,a nd I don't care about the plane going down, it's sitting in there, trapped, and having sharks swim aboard. My cruise line would sink, I'd be floating on the door like Rose, never letting go and sharks would swim up and say hello. I saw Jaws at a real young age and it screwed me up.

I went snorkeling off the coast of Hawaii when i was 15, and a shark swam right past me without a second glance. I literally almost threw up my heart at that moment.

good GOD! That would scare the everything outta me. At one point a Sea Turtle swam about 3 feet in front of me, and I didnt see him till the last second. My wife said she heard me through the snorkle all the way to the beach about 50 feet away lol. I can only imagine a shark!

I sometimes have to stop and think about how to swallow food if I'm short of breath. Really weird, like I almost panic.

There are quite a few countries I'm paranoid to visit, but I'm not sure if that is irrational or not though.

Ever since the first time I watched "The Wrath of Khan", the idea of an insect burrowing its way through my brain and into my ear has freaked me out.

Also, similar to you other semi-claustrophobics, I always worry when I have to go into the crawl space under my house that I'm going to get stuck slithering under a ventilation duct and be trapped down there.

Yeah, claustrophobia is no friend of mine so I'm going with 2nd most irrational fear and saying spelunking..cave diving in those little cracks a couple miles underground with a small lifeline, all the sea life has no color like Golum and there's no peripheral vision, that drainpipe fear is a creepy one....(shudder)
