I’m sure it’s a very mehhhh burger like just about all the other mass produced burger joints. I drive by and the parking lot always looks about 1/4 full, that tells me all I need to know. Speaking of mehhh burgers, had Fuddruckers last night. All these places that slap a frozen patty on the grill can go away for all I care. There is something about the freezing of burgers that renders them with really weird taste.
Well, the discussion is chains, so unfortunately that's what you generally get.

Perhaps you thought you were in a different thread?

This thread has gone from chains, to local, to everthing else in between.

The title doesn't suggest that I should be disparaged for recommending a chain burger. In fact, it still specifically says chains.

But thanks.

You're welcome.

My wife makes the best eggs, hash browns and sausage with texas toast.

But as far as restaurants/chains go, Chicken Fried Steak and Eggs... The best used to be at Truckstops of America, but a lot of those restaurants closed down over covid-19 and I haven't tried them since then. Dennys chicken fried steak and eggs is okay.

Otherwise, Don Chicos makes AWESOME breakfast burritos.
My wife used to make the best brown all over on both sides hash browns with jalapenos to spice it up with a very lightly fried egg on top. Crunch toasty English muffin with butter melted on the hot toast plus apricot marmalade, bacon fried crunchy or half and half mixed Jimmy Dean mild and hot sausage patties or fried Honey Baked ham, and orange juice and the best coffee in the world which used to be Boyd's coffee before they sold out with half and half.
Now I mostly eat three soft boiled eggs the the same toasted English muffin and coffee.
All my breakfasts are preceded with a small batch of plain oatmeal and two slices of canned peaches.

Korean burger place.

Red Robin Bonzai Burger Copycat Recipe

Ingredients:
(*) 1 batch Homemade Teriyaki Sauce
2 beef patties
Salt and pepper
1 large beefsteak tomato, cut into slices
4 pineapple rings
2 slices cheddar cheese
Shredded lettuce
Mayonnaise

Instructions
1) Brush both sides of the beef patties with teriyaki sauce. Grill according to desired doneness, basting regularly with teriyaki sauce.
2) Add the cheese on top near the end to melt.
3) Brush both sides of the pineapple rings with teriyaki sauce and grill on each side for about a minute.
4) Lightly toast the hamburger buns.
5) Place the patties on the bottom bun
6) Place two slices of tomatoes and then two pineapple rings on top.
7) Brush the pineapple rings with some more teriyaki sauce.
8) Top with shredded lettuce.
9) Spread a generous amount of mayonnaise on the top bun and place it on the hamburger.
10) Serve immediately

(*) TERIYAKI SAUCE INGREDIENTS
1/2 cup tamari , can substitute low sodium soy sauce. Note: tamari has more flavor than soy sauce and significantly less sodium.
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons fresh ginger ,minced
1 teaspoon garlic ,minced
1 tablespoon honey (Vegans: use agave nectar or sweetener of choice)
1 teaspoon sesame oil
3 tablespoons mirin (see note)
1/4 cup water mixed with 3 teaspoons cornstarch

INSTRUCTIONS
Combine all ingredients in a small saucepan, bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for about 4 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool.
Store in the fridge for up to a week. Makes about 1 1/4 cups teriyaki sauce.

NOTE:
Mirin is a sweet Japanese rice wine, similar to sake but with a lower alcohol content and higher sugar content. If you don't have mirin, you can use sherry with a pinch of sugar added to it.

Made these for my wife last night. She said this is the best burger she's ever had.

Nope but I know a good burger when I get one and there are still some chains that do a good job. Tried your Denny's burger and I'll just say not impressed. Wendy's is usually vastly underrated, and In-N-Out still makes a delicious fast food burger. I look for places that don't freeze their burgers and try to use fresh ingredients because you can actually taste a difference.

Whataburger is the shit.

Maybe it's living here and dealing with "The Cult of Texas" but I find that place to be overrated. It's a small step up from McD's, definitely great at 2am after a night of drinking. Again their burgers have that frozen taste to them that they try to cover up by grilling them with mustard. Not the worst burger by any means, but not worth the hype that Texans give it and only going to get worse now that they sold out to a Chicago corporation, trying to take them national.

In-N-Out in Oregon is ass. McDonald's is far superior.

The Dennys double bacon cheeseburger in Oregon taste like a homemade smash burger. It's a whole different level than any fast food burger I've had.

Perhaps the region matters?

I know it’s one of the boring classics, but has anyone been to a halfway decent Burger King in the last like 20 years? That place is trash no matter where you go. I refuse to even go there anymore it’s so bad. Most big chain fast food is hit or miss as we all know, but ol’ BK seems to universally suck balls now. I feel like I have faint childhood memories of them serving edible food but those could’ve been fever dreams.

I don't even try to go there anymore. The building look like trash and the inside looks dirty.

My kid loves McDonalds and Taco Bell anyways. So, if we do go, it mostly is to those two spots.

Wifey and I try to go to Shake Shack, teriyaki chicken, pizza places etc for fast food nowadays.

I’m intrigued by Shake Shack, but don’t know where to find it. I travel a lot through Denver, Salt Lake, Albuquerque, Boise etc. but have never come across one. There’s a teriyaki spot on every corner in Salt Lake which is awesome, large Polynesian population there. I hit up a ton of the small Mexican fast food joints also, the ones that inhabit old KFC and Dairy Queen buildings lol. Usually can’t go wrong there.

Been meaning to try out Shake Shack, as well! They just opened a new one in Nashville.

Tried a Whopper a few weeks ago and man it's not good. I swear they use their 'charbroiled' technique to try and mask how bad the burger really is. I probably go once every five years or so, just to remind myself it's still not good.

I find their burgers very hefty and tasty. Love the Jalepeno burger. Its substantial.

Burger King Whoppers used to be the shit. They are so sloppily put together now.

Had In & Out in Vegas, the one by the High Roller. Fucking delicious! Service great! 9/10.
