I have to make a decision on a new construction home in Happy Valley. The builder just jacked up the price by 30k and now I have to take it or leave it.

Is it a big builder like KB Homes, etc?

Cool. Yeah, was looking at communities in vegas and getting to know the different builders. The upgrades are a bitch!

Totally. I was planning on purchasing some upgrades, but now I likely won’t because of the price increase.

If the wife has her way, my house will be on the market soon. We've done a lot of upgrades over the years that we've barely been able to enjoy. Bought this house just about right at the housing collapse in 2007/2008, so it's been a good investment.

That’s when my ex and I bought our first home. Upgraded in 2013 when the market was down. We ended up losing money in the sale of our first home but bought at a really good time. That place is worth so much more now and is one reason why I’m able to buy one on my own now.
