Why you feel the need to post in every topic even if you are clueless about it is really beyond me.Most athletes only get "hounded" (which is a ridiculous word to use here) at the arena/ballpark/track/course...whatever you wanna call it. Or at the team hotel when they go in or leave. Or finally they go to autograph shows where they get paid to sign and spend hours there doing it. Most players aren't too bothered outside of those areas cause people do understand what the word "privacy" means...its the media thats always hounding these stars in other places cause they are looking for any type of story on them. Anyway, its the right of the player to just politely say no and move on, which many of them do. It doesn't make them a bad person at all and it's understandable that they may not want to sign. In everything I've read or seen in person, I've never seen an athlete get pissed off about autograph seekers, they just politely say "not today" or just wave and walk away. But from all the experiences I have, the players feel it is an honor to sign autographs for people and they feel great that someone would take the time to ask them for a signature. They love taking time to sign and talk with us cause they understand that we are the ones that help pay their salaries and let them make millions. Maybe if you had gotten to experience times like this you'd actually understand autograph collecting and how athletes treat the subject.</div>I love your posts man you put some depth in them and dont mind PFF his tits are bigger than his moms

NYKfan, I'd be surprised if you could even make the freshman girl's basketball team at your school. You obviously have no idea what it's like to be an athlete

I am who I am, I'm honest. You're the fakest b*tch on this site, same with all the other members who never post anything real, and I could list over a 100 right now. That's why I like S2S, at least he was real

By the way, I'm well past high school kid...you'd see that if you opened up my profile. Also....I'm sure you have no clue what it's like to be an athlete, so stop trying to pretend to be one. I have met hundreds of athletes in my time so I think I can put some input into this topic, as opposed to you. When you meet 5% of the total players I have met in my lifetime, give me a call and we'll talk autographs and athletes opinions on them. Until then, go find a topic on this site where maybe you can actually put some useful posts into.

Just because you met 'em doesn't mean you know 'em. They have to comply, but I'm sure it's one of the last things they wann do for most of 'em

Tons of players have passed by and not signed autographs at games I have gone to. Most of them just enjoy doing it to meet fans, so they come over and sign. Then at the autograph shows they get paid good money to do it so they don't care at all. They don't have to show up there either, but they take the time to for the money and they have a good time meeting fans. I have never met one player who was pissed about taking their own free time to sign autographs and have never had one player say "this sucks, signing"....because none of them have to.

You are fat kid who thinks too much of himself.. I bet you don't even play sports.. You just sit at home, watch tv, eat food, and maybe go outside.. but to only eat out. You get made fun of by your "friends", and even on the internet. That is sad that no one even likes you on the internet. How else do you think he got the signatures? The players had to have been willing to give him one for him to get it.. I talk to the dude, and he has gone to over 100 athletic events. (He has probably gone to more.) He goes to all the Nets home games, and some of the Knicks'. He has gotten autos from players numerous times. He could even tell you stories about them making fun of each other, making bets with each other, etc. The dude has been collecting autos longer than you have been living. He has even met the dude that does the autograph authenticating. The guy knows about autographs. So quit acting all holier than thou because you are not, dude. Please do everyone a favor, and leave. No one wants you here, and when you leave, don't make another account, please.

The way I see it, if the dude is getting paid big money for doing something he basicly loves...he can atleast give a signature to a fan and make the fans week...

It's a point... A point.. I'm sure that helped you're team win many times.. Please show me where it says you were on the best middle school team in Indiana.

And I averaged like 6 rpg and 5 apg along with 2 bpg and 1 spg. And I averaged over 1 ppg, it was more like 3.

We beat everyone by 30+ points when I was in middle school. That doesn't mean we were the best in the state, dude. We also play AAA (in MS, that is the biggest class for private schools, we used to be AAAA, but there weren't enough teams). <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Pacers fan forever @ Mar 16 2007, 01:06 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>And yes, I only averaged about 2 ppg.</div>

Stop giving PFF attention and get back on topic.I have Dirk's sig on a ticket, but I doubt it's anything special on that
dry.gif
My picture with him is more important, I guess.I have Dean Palmer's autograph tucked away somewhere, Darryl Hamilton (I would be blown away if any of you even know who that is), and I think I have Al Levine and some other crappy Rangers players' autographs.I have Rod Carew's autograph on a card, as well (real sig, not stamped, obviously).

My only autograph is from Kevin Garnett, I got it from him at an Antique Show in Minneapolis. I also have a dozen or so signatures from the New Zealand 'All Blacks' LaCrosse team, we stayed at the same hotel in the capitol, they were really friendly.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (SpursFan10 @ Jul 20 2007, 03:49 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>Darryl Hamilton played with the Mets and Rockies??</div>I believe so. He also played with the Giants and if it wasn't obvious enough, the Rangers. He was an incredible fielder, and okay with the bat.

I got Pat Tillman's autograph in kindergarten and some ASU football player.

Johnny Gomes, Tim Raines, Bobby Bonds Jr.Think that's bout it. Not big on autographs.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (MaRdYC26 @ Jul 20 2007, 10:49 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>Tim Raines</div>I liked Tim Raines. I don't know why. Maybe I just miss that part of baseball.
