Why can't you? Maybe we're made it in spite of dilating them. If theres something we can improve, we should do it.

Put Zach in charge of pissing off ClayVery happy with Zach's play in the postseason. I think it's validated the FO's reason to draft him. All season long it felt like they were grooming him to be the starting PF next year when they don't resign Aminu, but his play after getting Kanter (even after Nurk went down) was brutal. To the point where I thought the team might need to dig into the wallet and resign Chief.
But he's played his way back in the postseason, especially against the Nuggets.
Prediction: He's gonna have a breakout series against Golden State and they let Aminu walk. GS is actually a good matchup for Zach. His strengths like his speed and versatility is great against teams who rely on perimeter scorers, and the Warriors don't have any bigs that can abuse Collins down low.
Will it really be an improvement though? Like he said, different matchups. Our starting five has played gsw very well this year. You dont just toss in the towel because of one bad matchup.
like it was said, aminu and hark would probably check out and if we are to win, we need them to contribute.
If we are gonna win it all this year, its with the help of those two. The changes will happen to start next year.
I was advocating for a change to the starting lineup a couple of months ago, but I think maybe you are right for this series. I think Zach is needed to play back up center against the Warriors. I am not sure I want him to start and get in foul trouble. Maybe wait until later in the game to play both he and Kanter together.
What I want is for Hood to be healthy enough to start at SF while Terry rotates Aminu and Harkless at PF. At least while Durant is out. We need the extra shooter.
Nope nope nope.
Remember our win against them in the regular season when Kerr decided he wanted attention all for himself and imploded?
Collins played the absolute perfect role as the free safety running in and out of the paint near the rim. We left Green WIDE OPEN with 10+ feet of space on every play while everyone else stayed with shooters.
And I'm not playing Dame on Curry-- he needs all the energy he can conserve for offense. I'd put Dame on Iggy, CJ on Klay, Moe on Steph, and Aminu on Looney, with Collins guarding the middle and helping on every drive. Kanter is gonna become a major liability on defense, but he'll be getting his on offense-- i'd play him judiciously.
Im not sold on hoods help and lateral defense being good enough( is anyones?) to guard curry and especially Clay on the perimeter. Id stick with the starting lineup and make a quick sub if hark cant hang. But if hark cant hang on d, we are gonna be in trouble. When he is engaged he is our best defender i think.
I like this! A LOT!Maybe should show that whole sequence of events to the Blazers right before they go on the court.
Im not speculating as to if it would be or wouldnt be. Simply saying he shoupd do whatever would improve the team, even if its a startimg lineup change. Will it really be an improvement though? It's not a bad narrative. And critical thinking would agree with you. If you are Spock. Why can't you? Maybe we're made it in spite of dilating them. If theres something we can improve, we should do it.
I never do. Any shot he makes is gravy, IMO.Do not expect Aminu to shoot well this series.
On a side note and an even bigger thing- Everyone is talking about Kanter not being able to eat or drink. Neither can Aminu. I don't care what anyone says or who's god they want to follow. When you cant eat or drink during, or for 14 hours before the game like we are gonna see on every 6 pm start this series there is a problem. Sunset tonight is 8:32 pm. It is only gonna get worse and later as the week goes on. Do not expect Aminu to shoot well this series.

I don't think they will. The way it is thought about is that it would be selling your soul to the devil for material gain. A true Muslim would not do that. Might as well eat a pork chop. They need to cheat. No one needs to know but them and their God, but it is unhealthy to fast and then exert that much energy. I am sure their god will understand if they drink a little water. Totally absurd not to. But hey thats me. I never make it through lent without a little meat on Fridays.
I just cannot figure that they wouldn't? But who knows?GMs of teams with playoff aspirations should be taking that into account when it comes to the draft and free agency.
As I recall, Clay starts it, Zach gives it back and walks away, Clay escalates, of course Zach gets a tech, then the Whoriers start throwing out 'retaliatory' cheap shot bullshit around the basket that barely goes punished, Blazers don't back down, so the Whorier bench goes ballistic as if the Blazers were the instigators.
Am I remembering that right?
I just cannot figure that they wouldn't? But who knows?
Klay has a quick release and runs off screens well, but is he that quick where lateral quickness is a priority to cover him?
And I'm saying a lineup change now wont improve the team. It will weaken it. It will create doubt in some players.Im not speculating as to if it would be or wouldnt be. Simply saying he shoupd do whatever would improve the team, even if its a startimg lineup change.

You mean those same players that already doubt their shot so much that they: a) put us in a 10 point hole within the first 6-9 minutes of Games 6 & 7, and b) barely played in the second half of Game 7? Yeah, I'd hate to see them question their role...
It's really a silly argument, no offense intended, as it's exactly the approach Stotts appears to take, because Harkless disproved it himself by coming out with improved energy off the bench in Game 7, and working closer to the basket where he's vastly more effective.
Denver benched Will Barton in favor of Torrey Craig after starting Barton the first couple games against the Spurs.Also. Show me a team that has swapped two starters in the playoffs that wasn't due to an injury or suspension? Coaches dont do it because they understand cohesion.
Lots of teams have players who dont perform or play well in the playoffs.
Should Houston Bench CP3?
