Zach Collins Dislocated Shoulder

This lineup has played 3 minutes for a +/- of 0

However, switch Hassan for Collins (still Tolliver + 4 starters) and they are -13 in 3 minutes. Switch Tolliver for anyone else and you get great results.

Additionaly, Tolliver has shared the court with Dame, our best player by a wide margin, for 22 minutes. He is -28 in those
Here are our other bench players with Dame in comparison:
Simons: +6 in 18min
Hezonja: +11 in 25min
Bazemore: +11 in 53min
Labissiere: +5 in 7min

He is also -17 in 10 minutes shared with both Dame and CJ

When your bad your bad

Faried is unsigned at this point

also unsigned:

Dante Cunningham
Channing Frye
Amir Johnson
Jon Leuer

other minimum contracts signed this last summer:

Jeff Green
Kyle Korver
Tyson Chandler
Wilson Chandler
Ryan Anderson
Patrick Patterson
Kyle O'Quinn
Mike Muscala
Nerlens Noel
Noah Vonleh
Jahlil Okafor
JaKarr Sampson (averaging 20 & 8 so far)
Christian Wood
Furkan Korkmaz
Jordan Bell

I never understood why the Blazers signed Tolliver considering who else was available as a minimum contract signing. Just about all of those guys above would have been better options. Even two former Blazers, Cunningham & Vonleh would have been better. Or even Channing Frye who averaged 14 & 6 per36 last season while shooting over 40% from three

it made little sense then, and even less than little now

Frye is retired

speaking of Gasol, has there been any timeline for him being ready?

Probably not good.. Honestly give Skal the minutes Zach gets he’ll equal him on pts and rbs minimum. Defensively Zach is no doubt better but Skal has really improved since the summer

That's an injury that can repeat really easily with contact...they need to strengthen the muscle tissue around the socket probably...that'll take some time. So far sounds like no tear from his initial lack of pain, that's good

you guys are really reading into Dame’s quote about Skal being MVP of training camp...

skal has not accomplished a thing in the league yet, equating him with Collins - someone who has produced in the playoffs - is not even close to warranted.

That dame quote gets mentioned more by the anti Skal/pro Stotts crowd than those pushing for Skal to get more minutes. Funny shit.

WTF with the Blazers and an update on Zach's shoulder?
Rope-A-Dope on the other teams? They'll hopefully bring him back, when we are desperately in need. Let him recover, until then. Then fricken knock them out.....

Zach said the shoulder popped back in cleanly. Hopefully he doesn't miss more than a month...
I once dislocated a finger while playing third base in a company softball league. One of the other infielders said I had to pop it back in, the sooner the better. So, although it took two painful tries, I got it back in. Went to a doctor. It chipped a tiny fragment of bone. Had to have a splint for a few days. Now, I'm sure a dislocated shoulder is far worse so I'm expecting more like a few weeks, perhaps a month.
