Without looking it up aren't some of those misleading because if they got hurt near the end of a season they wouldn't miss that many games? Or are those just people who came back that same season?

Ah shit good call. Bradley/Kanter/Wade all had season ending ones but near the ends of their respective season. Brief search says about 5-6 months recovery. ugh

I don't know if you guys caught it but after the game Stotts said he felt bad for Zach and it's hard for a young player to miss a significant amount of the season.

That was probably a slip up but I doubt a few weeks would be "significant" so we're probably talking months.

I already posted something from the CBS NBA injury report and he was listed out to at least Jan 1. Of course that can always be modified more or less as recovery begins to happen after his surgery.

I think there is some major misleading bullshit in that list

I started by wondering about Bradley and Kanter supposedly only missing 10 games after surgery. Big problem with that 'assertion'. Both players had surgery at the tail end or after the season. Kanter had surgery on April 11 and missed the last 10 games of the season. Then didn't have his first game back for over 6 months. Bradley injured his shoulder at the end of the 2012 season, missed 10 games, had surgery in July, and didn't play a game till the following January, nearly 6 months later

I'm not going to play detective any more but those two examples of bad info make me skeptical of the rest of the list

damn, it's hitting me now. We can table Collins for the season then. UGHHHHH

Already discussed above, lol

Aren't we already assuming Zach had some kind of labrum tear as well? You don't do surgery on a dislocated shoulder. You do surgery on any muscles/tendons that were torn as a result of the dislocation.

Dwight Jaynes says torn labrum on TV just now.

Says the Best case scenario is return for playoffs but wont know until they are un surgery

nearly every shoulder dislocation has a tear involved in the labrum. just the severity is unknown

Fuck it, Whiteside and Zach for BG or Dray after Feb 3rd. I wanna go for it while it’s wide open.

yea we need a nice return for Zach because dame isn’t getting younger to wait on the development of Zach then getting the rust off after returning from that injury

I was really wanting to see his progression this year. This season almost feels pointless now because we aren't good enough to make the playoffs. We'd have a chance with nurk and zach.

Given our struggles on defense, missing Zach and Nurkic for most of the season with a packed West does seem like you need to make a trade or just ride it out, hope you get the 8th seed and then be the team nobody wants to play in the first round.

We're better on the road anyway..

Honestly, I wish they would bring up Moses and give him a shot with some back up minutes. I don't see where the defense that this team desperately needs is going to come from. Test Moses with some backup minutes, get Baze more minutes, not sure about the rest. It's easy to say teams just had a great night shooting, but why do they always have it against the Blazers?

Yes, bring up Moses and let Skal play more than 15 minutes.

Zach had surgery today. Reevaluated in 4 months - early March. Probably won't play until playoffs.

Sucks.
The key for him is to strengthen the muscles around it. That was my PT regimen after my dislocation as I opted not to have surgery. Make sure he won't pop it out again.

That said, it's better that this is his off arm. He can keep conditioning in the pool and work on righty Mikan drills.

We just have to hope we can stay afloat until Zach and Nurk get back. Either that or tank. I'm fine with either.
