Calabro liked this, so I know you will, Boob.

Blake Griffin?? Griffin is a statue compared to Kemp's mobility.

Unfortunately, we got this:

How ironic you refer to Blake Griffin as a statue, when the Portland version of Shawn Kemp was much more statuesque:

Why the hell would I like that? I am not, and have never been, a Sonics fan.

Back then, they ranked right up with the Lakers as our most hated rival.

One of my all time happiest non-Blazer NBA memories was when the 8th seeded Nuggets upset the #1 seeded Sonics in the first round. I can tell you exactly where I was when Dikembe Mutombo was celebrating on the floor of Key Arena. Ah, good times!

Remember this?

As a Blazers fan, that never gets old.

Good work. Thanks for sharing your official Shawn Kemp fan scrapbook!

My biggest issue from the beginning is that I didn't want to draft any more rookies. And as much as I like the potential of Collins, how much has Swanigan and Collins helped us this season?

If you *expected* 19-20 year old rookies to fill out roles on a team with playoff aspirations, that’s on you.

I will say that I thought Swanigan would contribute before Collins, just because he’s a year older and more physically mature.

This is part of development. There will be downs. So to bump this thread every time Zach has a bad moment is funny, especially when I made it clear on the first page that he would have his struggles. Yesterday was the first game however where I didn’t think he was actually helping the team. That’s a good thing.

I think the point was that he didn't expect the rookies to contribute this year, which is why he didn't want the Blazers to draft any more rookies. I interpreted the post as saying he wanted the picks traded for a player who could contribute immediately.

Yeah I know, I was talking about the fans that did expect something. I just worded it weird.

So you wanted to draft "veterans" instead?

So this means you won't bump it when he has a good game?

Shawn Kemp was really a freak of nature. I have never seen another person get fat while consuming mass quantities of cocaine.

Artie Lange says "hi".

Actually, that is one of his jokes, that he is the only person who ever got fat while addicted to cocaine.

As a huge sports fan, I'm surprised he hasn't noticed his similarities to Kemp (cocaine addiction, quitting his job to go to rehab, massive weight gain).

Time to play the East Coast Media bias card! Come on Artie, give Kemp his due. You're not the only fat ass coke addict. Sure, you were ground breaking, but if you're the Babe Ruth of cocaine weight gain, Shawn Kemp is the Barry Bonds.

Yep. Me too. And Nuggets came back from 0-3 to force 7th game in second round against Jazz. Fun team. LaPhonso Ellis. Robert Pack. Brian Williams.

Are people actually asking him wacky questions like that, or is he just responding to the voices in his head (Snapper, much love)?
I don't think he's responding to anyone on twitter, but I'm not sure.

Caleb would be a better leaper even at his size if Kemp was his daddy.

Man. That lockout totally fucked Kemp up. He blew up liks a balloon after that. I don't think I've ever heard of a work stoppage fucking with a player's career harder. Maybe Matt Williams who could have broken the home run record and legitimately lost a HOF bid because of the 94 strike. But Kemp fell off the coke wagon.

To me, it's a serious question that needs to be answered, the sooner the better. If Portland can't afford to keep two centers, then do they need to trade one soon? Can Zach be a center in the modern NBA; can't see any reason why not.

Zach has 2 more years on his rookie contract. We can wait.

What two centers? Zach is a power forward. Not only that but he’s locked in contractually for the next five seasons.

He can and should be a 4
