The prosecution never brought this up in trial. He later said Martin was on top of him, which was corroborated by an eyewitness.

You can't do a good job if you don't have any evidence or reliable witnesses. As you stated, it was his words against nobody's. Nobody isn't enough to convict or even arrest Zimmerman. Only reason he was arrested and this went to trial was because of black outrage based on nothing else other than a victim mentality so prevalent in the african american culture.

It's a fight. Zimmerman was getting his ass kicked. He suffered MAYBE a broken nose and only minor cuts on the back of his head (certainly doesn't seem like his head was pummeled that hard into the cement), yet he's justified in killing him. Absolutely ridiculous.

This kind of scenario happens every single day, with a lot of it being gang activity. Confrontation, fight breaks out, shots fired, someone dies. The person that does the shooting is a murder suspect and winds up in jail.

I have to agree. There's a reason why conservatives are all partying tonight. They believe in the shoot first, ask questions later mindset. I don't think that's even debatable. People that think differently aren't real Americans.

Also, according to Zimmerman's account, he was jumped. It wasn't a fight so much as it was an attack.

if it was shoot first, Zimmerman wouldn't have any injuries.

So you're telling me that since the prosecution didn't bring it up, it didn't happen? That the video is false? Somehow fabricated for your inconvenience?

Or are you saying that since he changed his story, that the second version is obviously true?

The only reason this went to trial is because the President of the USA commented on a local issue. Meanwhile in Chicago, 10 blacks every weekend are dying because of gang violence. Pointing that out doesn't dived Americans though, which is what Obama is all about for anyone paying attention to his words and actions.

Obama has set racial equality back 30 years. I dare someone to tell me how he isn't the biggest race-baiter in the history of the USA. Remember the Cambridge Police/Beer Summit nonsense, where he accused the officer of 'acting stupidly'?

What an idiotic statement. Shoot first would have meant he wouldn't have called the cops before and after the shooting.

Zimmerman's own stated actions are enough to arrest him, but apparently not convict. If you think the only reason Zimmerman was even arrested was because of "black outrage", then you don't know dick about the legal system.

Either way, obviously Zimmerman's account holds the most weight, which no doubt is probably biased in his favor. That's just the way it is.

Doesn't mean I have to feel good about it, though.

The police found no reason to arrest him afterward. Only after Bigmouth Barack commented on it did this become a national story, and the state of FL then had a special prosecutor look into the case again.

LIVs are hilarious.

Yes, it's the only reason it went to trial. Why are you so ignorant on this case? Local PD and local prosecutors found no charges. Only after Obama spoke about it did the state convene a special prosecutor.

April 11th, 2012: Zimmerman charged and taken into custody.

I'm right on one thing. This case was all about race. Now the DOJ is looking into it as a civil rights' case.

This entire case was presented as "true", when it is a simple self-defense case. When the President speaks about it in passive-aggressive racial terms, and he even spoke about the verdict today, that does a lot more damage than some random Youtube video.

What I don't get is how some of us are "bigots" when our passion is a sport that is dominated by black athletes, and who we buy uniforms for our kids to wear and represent for them. White LIVs get so caught up in race.
