He wouldn't start for:
Houston
Pheonix
Detroit
Cleveland
Orlando
Utah
Denver
Milwaukee
New York
And it'd be arguable if he'd start in:
Indiana
Dallas
San Antonio
Sacramento
That's about half the NBA.

When a foul was called and the players are just standing there just waiting for the refs to do their thing, Tayshaun was NOT allowed to practice layups as long as Mourning was around the rim. He let that Pistons' team know what time it is and that ish wasn't gonna ride as long as he's on the floor, whether the game is in play or not.</div>
Nets fan know this well after having Kenyon Martin for several years. It's called false bravado. That fight he got into with Tay after he dunked on Mourning was unneccessary and foolish. He got dunked on (just like always) so he should man up and take it, but instead he has to go jabbing his mouth like Tayshaun shoved him.
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">He plays with a passion on the court that only a hard-core fan who is dying for his team to win would know about it</div>
WHat are you trying to say? That us Nets fans aren't hard-core? For a long time, we were the bottom feeders of the league, more than your heat. The laughing stock. For awhile, Shawn Bradley was one of our best players for Pete's sake. Let me tell you something about Alonzo Mourning, since you seem to not remember. Alonzo isn't that great of a guy. I used to love him on Charolette and what he did for them. Alonzo, Larry Johnson (my favorite player at the time), Mugsy, Dell Curry, Hersey Hawkins, it goes on. Basically they were an offensive machine, though their defense put them back into place. That's where Alonzo comes in yapping away and breaking up the team. He didn't like Larry Johnson and he wanted a big fat contract (just like he did with the Nets) and forced a trade. At that time, I gave him leeway cause plenty of players have done it in the past and a man is entitled to his opinion. Then came that Knicks series where he goes mouthing off and starting a fight with Larry Johnson, but that'll be forever remembered by Jeff Van Gundy's tagging of Mourning. Guy can't just keep his mouth shut and play the game.
Then he came to the Nets asking for a gauranteed contract. He played a few games and then quickly left claiming kidney problems. He was garunteed 20 million dollars for 4 years. That's 5 million a year if you need to see a number. It looked like he was not to return or ever get better so the Nets' lineup was only shortened and that year in particular the Nets failed to get into the finals for the first time since Kidd arrived. Kidd played with one leg the entire season but Mourning couldn't muster up the strength to play Where was his complaints that the Nets were trying to lose then? He didn't even play 20 games. He could've helped, but of course he was just a fool sitting on the bench. Changes had to be made, so it led to the outing of Kenyon Martin and Kittles. He complained about the Nets wanting to lose and not having the will to win...Well if he didn't charge us so high to sit on a bench, maybe we could've kept some of our players. So he wanted a buy out...that included ALL of his money. WTF is up with that? he didn't even play 40 games with us and he wanted 20 million? Forget that the Nets lost in the 2nd round because of him, forget that they paid ALL of his hospital bills (and I bet they were costly) and forget that all the players made sacrifices to get him there, but he wanted money. He's just a greedy sob.
I'm tired of his ass. Last season when he first joined Miami, all he did was flex after everything. Shaq dunked the ball, he starts flexing. He got a rebound, he started flexing. Wade made a a lay up he started flexing. Who the hell does he think he is? Not only is he greedy, but he's some sort of camera hog too.
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">He definetly doesn't need basketball to help shape opinions about what kinda player he is offcourt and people shouldn't judge him by that either.</div>
People judge what they see. A lot of NBA players do charity. Hell, I do chairty work and donate part of my salary to causes, but that doesn't tell the type of person I am. Bill Gates donates a lot of money to charity, but I'm sure he's looking at it more as a big tax write off. A lot of celebrities do charity work for publicity, and I wouldn't put that past Mourning. The guy thinks of no one but himself. He's greedy, he's a prick, he's an asss, and deserves all the failures that come to him.
I'm tired of his large mouth. Don't expect me to care at all about him when he does nothing else but serve for him. I wouldn't want him on my team if we had a frontcourt line up of Pat Burke, Luke Walton, Chris Dudley, Bill Wennington, Jamie Feik, Evan Eschemeyer.
