It boils down to this - I come to this forum to post about basketball. Not to make friends. I don't care who you are, or bones. This isn't the happy sunshine rainbow forum where everyone agrees with everyone else. We disagree. We argue. It happens. You and I have locked horns in the past too. I don't really care. I'll do battle with anyone on here. If you want to discuss the merits of the post, awesome, I'll do that. If you or Bones want to come in here and say things like "more of this shit" or "this is the best you can come up with?" I'll happily take it to that level as well.
When I post something, and someone immediately interprets it as "you're shitting on Meyers and this is the best you can come up with?" I'm going to return in kind. It's that simple. The two times that he has disagreed with me, he IMMEDIATELY turns to insults instead of actually refuting or posting a coherent thought. I post stats, he posts insults. It's cool. I'm good with that. Just don't make those kinds of posts and then cry about personal attacks when I bite back.
That's all fine and well, you are free to post here for whatever reason, same for Bones and everyone else who posts here. This is indeed a community of diverse opinions and viewpoints, that being said some of us are of the opinion that the constant ribbing of players gets tiring. My hopes for this community is that it isn't a place where I ask myself "I wonder who's going to start a Meyers sucks thread today".
I love this forum and have respect for the majority its members. I can tell that this is ultimately a solid group of people and that is why I have chosen to stick around here. That doesn't mean it doesn't get obnoxious as hell when people feel like their opinion isn't being given enough consideration so they decide to create their own thread to showcase it.
TLDR: All this Meyers bashing is very much beating a dead horse and some of us are tired of it. We get it, a lot of you don't like Meyers and wish he was traded. Some of you dislike him so much that you feel the need to insult him as a person. You are free to express yourself however you feel the need to as a fan, but when someone else doesn't agree with how you are expressing yourself you shouldn't jump straight to insulting them as a person... Do you see the pattern here?
