Hey helluva win for the team tonight. Maybe more impressive is that they could overcome 25 turnovers against Denver and survive what could have been 40+ points off of turnovers.

I saw someone say earlier Wesley is the perfect 6th man. Totally disagree.

He can't create his own offense. He works much better in a unit where teams will double other players leaving him open. Go to the 2nd unit and that doesn't happen.

If LA can get into beast mode at some point, that will help a ton

I'm not worried about LaMarcus going into beast mode, personally. I thought his low stats this game were a combination of both the team not getting him the ball properly, Denver guarding him well, and him making great reads on the double teams (something he had trouble with in the past in just terms of holding onto the ball for a little bit too long before going to make the pass).

And for the record, Felton has me sold. Whatever his weight is, he knows how to get up and down the floor, and more importantly he knows where to be before he needs to be there. He's the gaddam Chubby Wonder.

Quoting myself to clarify to mean that I don't worry about him being able to go into beast mode, we will obviously need beast-mode LaMarcus this season.

Andre +12
Rudy +7
Harrington +1 (all other Noogies -.)

their Blazer opponents:

Jamal -11
Nic -5
Kurt -5 (all other Blazers +.)

Interesting game. On a night when LMA/Crash were relatively quiet, the trio of Matthews/Crawford/Felton really came through. That was a pleasant surprise!

25 ppg before. I knew someone would talk shit about Aldridge. Go figure. Hey buddy why not just enjoy this win?

I wasn't talking shit about anybody? LA hasn't been in beast mode so far this season. Numbers have been good, but not the low post beasting and dominant rebounding we were all talking about last year.

I don't see anything wrong with MM's observsation that Roy was bad/causing us problems on defense. People are praising our good defense, specifically perimeter defense (and thus helping the big guys by not making them cover for the guards), and Brandon not being here anymore with bad knees is a contribution to that increase in defense. It'd be like saying "there's a lot less lobs this season" after Sergio was traded.

Thank god. Felton and Matthews really stepped up offensively

It would be nice to see him get a little pissed off. We finally saw that out of Batum tonight in the first half.

Here's m problem with the refs tonight. If you're going to call touch fouls, do it both ways. If you're not going to call touch fouls, do it both ways. I just want consistency.
I used to think the same way as you, until I realised that expecting consistency from three different refs is unrealistic; just accept it, you'll save yourself a lot of stress.

Wow we held the to 40% and out rebounded them by 20. I really love watching d! Good job portland
